I love Spooks too. I was upset when Tom Quinn left, but Adam Carter is even better. Is he gonna be in the new series too?

DanB, it's not relevant but when you said "surprise", it reminded me Cilla Black's autopsy on Time Trumpet. Did anyone watch it?

I wathced "Capricorn One" when I was 10 (NASA fakes the Mars-landing). Not the gratest of all films but it made me skeptic about everything related to space exploration.

SarahM, I've seen Crystal Maze on one of those challenge/game channels on digital last week. They must be showing it regularly.

DanB, it's great fun to visualise/imagine that cushioning

Tricky, have you seen the Family guy episode "Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington"?

lol @ DanB. // Good point sylvester, I didn't know that. It will be too late to bring the game back, when the school gets filled up with obese kids (in fact not just too late but it will also be impossible, as there won't be any space to play the British Bulldog.

Steve Irwin news

Yes, very sad . And also surprising; that it's not a monster crocodile but a usually harmless stingray ended his life.

I agree with DanB on the bible comment. Jenny, you seem to be so sure that we are judging this book without having a clue about it, but I have read the bible and Quran. And what a waste of time that was. You search bible for answers, that already is against any open-mindedness in my view. I don't search for answers only in Dawkins books, I search for answers in so many books; I could not possibly make one of them my bible. I won't say more, because my intention is not to upset you. Besides, I cannot see any agreement or mid-point at the end of this conversation.

Science questions, but religion accepts; science seeks solutions, but religion obeys; science tries to find equal opportunities for all, but religion offers comfort. I thought what I said ("if you found the answer in the bible, then I question your questions" statement) was clear enough. I look forward to reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins (should be published soon), I usually agree with what he has to say. Have you read any of his books? I am not trying to use him to support my opinion but I wanted to drop his name here to save a lot of time.

Jenny, last thing I want is a debate over religion but I wanted to reply your message. If you think about it, what I said is only as vague as your first statement. Besides, if you found the answer in the bible, then I question your questions. We can't possibly be talking about the same concept of science.

dilema on supervisors and authorship and confirming stuff

Unless you know their mobile phones, there is nothing you can do today really. Submit the paper as you've prepared and hopefully you will be able speak to your supervisor tomorrow; and do slight amendments (if your supervisor disagrees with what you did) on the text by calling the editor before your work goes to print. Good luck

I miss the Lucky Luke cartoons. Veeeery much.

Jenny you say "I do not see any conflict between my belief in God and science". But I do. Unless you explain it (why and how), I will continue to see this conflict.
