not long, that animated one took about 15-20 minutes.

(you weren't asking about chubby babies, were you? )

EndNote - how to export to table
4

You can export them from the File menu as rich text, then copy that text into a table. You have the option to export the whole library or selected references only. The output format will be however you choose or set up EndNote to display references.

Yes

Have lost them all to Facebook I wonder?

insomniac, was that a brief visit? You've disappeared again

Some advice on conference papers, slightly confused!

I would just write an abstract (so it can be put on the website or the welcome notes for the guests); and prepare a presentation for however long your given slot is.

...and the value of the "artwork"... grrrrr 50 million pounds

"For the Love of God"?

I remember reading about this when he took the commission. I thought it was a bulls**t of an idea then; now seeing the image I realise that was an insult to bulls**t. I am supposed to be one of those arty types but I hate it. The concept is a p.take and the money spent on it is a joke.

What citation styles do you use?
4

you can always edit the styles in EndNote. I use page numbers only for direct quotes or quotes that are particularly from a certain point in text. For this, I edit the citation in Word, instead of EndNote. But if you need to add page number to all citations, editing the style in EndNote would be more logical.

thanks piglet and sue

I hope PGF team will allow it. It's only 6k in file size, so it doesn't occupy too much space.

no smileys insomniac, but I think we need a tender/affectionate smiley, don't you think so?

well, Piglet has won the lottery, I have passed my viva with a Hollywood celebrity as external examiner (Johnny Depp in case you were wondering) pea is marrying Nigel Barker, sue has just bought a piece of land in moon and juno is getting an honorary doctorate for her invention so she no longer has to continue her PhD. But that's it really, nothing major happened

Is this normal? Any advice welcome!

weren't you given a contract or some sort of document detailing what you get and what you don't? If they offered you a PhD studentship on top of your job, then there might be some mixed up in the communication between the people paying your fees and your university's financial department or registry. They might simply need to receive a confirmation letter that you get your fees paid by such and such. But if you were only offered the job, then you will be responsible for paying your own school fees. Therefore I'd be surprised if you would be given a research budget. In that case, you can try getting your conference expenses paid by your department under staff development or something like that. I think you'll need to give us more information so we can help you. Good luck.
