I was searching for food supplements and fish oil on the internet, and clicked -I'm feeling lucky- on google. It took me to a thread on a health forum, with the poster's username "excemaman". That does not sound like a super hero to me

feeling so low and yet i have to work - anyone else working?

You are not alone jojo. I recommend giving yourself a couple of hours break and do something you enjoy though. I was feeling like that a few hours ago. In the end, I walked to the supermarket, bought some food for bbq. I was going to prepare dinner anyway, I thought we might as well have a bbq in the garden with my bf and his friend. Why don't you do something like that? Eat something you really like, watch something fun, speak to a friend for 10 minutes and go back to work. I know it sounds like a waste of time considering you need to finish it for monday, but it will actually make you more productive.

Supervisor draft reviewing... TOO SLOW!

I can understand how this can be so inconvenient for you. Why don't you explain how this is effecting you and your work; and ask if there is anything you could do to make it easier for them to read your chapters. Ask, perhaps, if it would be more convenient for them to receive chapters divided into smaller documents for example or would it be better if you send them reminders as you understand how busy they are blah blah...

Yes, supervisors are busy, but they shouldn't ignore your work. They have no right to extend the write-up process for you. I would talk to them and maybe even get them to appoint an advisor from your school or something if you are running short of time (due to funding etc.)

proficiency exam: a two day long oral and written nightmare

not an exam in UK, but most PhD students transfer from MPhil. It is as much work as an exam. There is a similar thing to what you mention in my country (but I actually study in the UK). Some of my friends took these exams and they found the level quite easy. The reason they had to take lessons on the first year and take exams is that the PhD students aren't expected to be knowledgeable in their area, or have previous research experience when they start their PhDs.

ok, it looks like it's only me who pays attention to user names, in order to avoid work. In that case, I will tell the other names I really like here. Piglet, thecoastman, LostinOz and pea. I want to change my username to something nice like those ones

johalhs, what do you mean by "quick". Usually you would need to complete minimum of a 3 year full-time or 5-year part-time research process. Do you have a project that you've started in the past but want to submit for PhD? In that case the situation might be different.
