Actually, I don't sleeping is a problem. I sleep an awful lot at the moment (in the day). I put it down to the particularly complex brain functions my body is undertaking during this final task of writing up.
I would say accept the sleep, make up for working time elsewhere, and address there is not an underlying 'thesis avoidance' problem which is the cause.

You state you have communicated several times... Perhaps speak to him/her on the phone then address them by their forename after that.
I assure you, there will be times further on in the relationship when you will want to call your supervisor everything under the sun!

Get away from the computer - walk into town (if you can) and do something functional (i.e. food shopping) while you're at it. Then get back to work.

PS. very quick to get a viva 16 days after submitting!

Is it wise to call yourself 'Dr.' when you book a flight? My PhD certainly won't help save someone's life whilst thousands of feet in the air!

You could try this to get started:
Huge sheets of flipchart paper.
One sheet per 'theme/idea/hypothesis/chapter'.
Brainstorm.
One absolutely focussed day per item.
In five days you will five 'topics' or 'chapter'
This may form some structure for your project.

It worked for me.

Expanding a masters thesis and improving on results to make it a PhD thesis makes me feel sad. I think you have missed the point.

Good luck to you - your timescale looks very ambitious to me. Have you left time for supervisors who come in at the eleventh hour with inputs which may require radical rethought?
