Suggestions were made at the first couple of meetings and while still praising me they advertised a follow up to what I'm doing. Now I HATE my PhD but I'd do anything, to be honest, rather than unemployment. They know I'm very, very anxious about my future but they don't seem concerned.

Mine haven't at all. So I'm just curious as to what everyone else thinks.

I'd absolutely hate to be in your position and know you must be experiencing really horrible feelings. I'm not impressed with how you seem to have been treated and can only admire your attitude.

Please look after yourself and remember you are so much more than your PhD, really you are.

It doesn't seem like it now but this nightmare will end...

It happened in the bulk of threads I tried to access but not all.

Same for me, since yesterday, and so you're not alone. I was going to post about this but see you beat me to it!

I feel for you, I really do. I'm not sure what I can say apart from could this give you some space to reduce the word count in your thesis? Apologies if that's a stupid question. Be sure to talk to your supervisors ASAP as they'll know what's best.

Keep trying as it's difficult to get onto a PhD even with a higher classification (2:1 or 1st). If you're not in you can't win as they say...
Having a completed masters under your belt will increase your chances and the higher the grade the better. But doing a masters and having a masters are two different things and having a masters may make the difference.
