I'm in the office today for the first time in almost a month -in fact, it was a struggle just to get here but I'm in so goal 1 is to assess where my work is to date.

I use dropbox too - I've only started using it recently and am nearing the limit at 1.5 GB already. I think I'll have to start inviting some friends!

I haven't been on here for a while as I decided I needed to take some time off (first hols in 12 months) - that didn't go so well and had a alot of drama with my oh, as a result I'm really struggling to get back into the swing of things and am just as stressed as ever. Oh well, must get started - I have my first conference presentation coming up and lots of work to do for it.
So goal 1: finish reading chapter 3

I've done absolutely nothing for the last three days because I already feel like I'm holidays (I'm taking next week off) but strangely I feel no guilt whatsoever and am pretty relaxed. This is unusual for mee but I think I'm just going to roll with it and work extra hard when my holiday is over.

Wow I didn't realise that this thread would hit a nerve with so many forumites. Sneaks are you allowed to use the cross trainer instead of jogging? Stressed that is amazing progress -keep it up (up)
I achieved both goals 1 & 2 yesterday AND this morning my scales said that i was that I'm 0.7kg lighter!! Although I'm sure that's all just water.

So no gym today - just a long dog walk and then back to the gym tomorrow!!

Oh It's great to have company sneaks!!!

I use lots of spices in my cooking  - you never notice it's healthy then

Your recipe sounds nice - I'm vegetarian so I might give it a go sometime with some mixed veg, I find couscous an lighter alternative to rice when I do curries but bf hates it - he says its "just air".

Ok- off on goal 1 - although dog is looking ridiculously sleepy

So my exercise goals for the day: goal 1 vigorous walk with the dog(our morning walk was basically her sniffing every 2nd tree and me waiting patiently- hardly exercise!!)
goal 2- go to the gym (it's been 3 weeks :$)

Day 1 - starting weight 64.8kg eeeek

I know that the purpose of the forum is to discuss postgrad matters but I'm hoping that using ideas from the accountability threads and Sneaks one goal thread, I'll be fit as a fiddle in no time. Anyway, it's the PhD that made be put on weight (2 stone in a year) in the first place :$

oh keanbeen, by all means enjoy whats going on now and look to the future, of course, if you are feeling so strongly. A word of warning though from a 25 year old coming to the end of a 7 year relationship- make sure that you are both on the same page. i really hope that it works out and brings you lots of pleasure and joy.

I am having a terribly unproductive day and haven't even completed goal 1 as yet - hmm maybe I don't need lunch after all and can hold out til bf gets back from work hopefully with some food in tow :$

Today isn't going so well so I really must set some goals.

Goal 1: go to the shops and find something healthy for lunch (resisting the goat's cheese!!!!)

Goal 2: make a start on reading those docs that I listed as relevant yesterday

Oh gosh I'll have to join the rubbish day parade too!! Where has the day gone?? It's already past 5 and I have done nothing useful except for tracking down some elusive documents and meeting a friend for coffee :$
So goal 1: read the potentially useful, no longer elusive doc
