Well spotted golfpro! I suggest, in light of the origins of this thread that recompense is required in the form of a mighty bribe in the pub!

Locum work means you work as temporary staff; you're not on the permanent rota. Although you have little flexibility workwise (no paid holiday) you can move about at any point to virtually anywhere. Ask the GMC about it.
Good luck and don't let the frustration get you down - you should see administration systems here!

Juno, I've got just the solution you need: reprogram your computer with a brick.

Grants - sorry, that one you're on your own with; I only know organisations for UK nationals. Try the Egyptian government, perhaps they organise overseas scholarships?
Have you considered locum in paediatrics to gain experience; again the GMC will advise you. I would suggest that before you send them an email though, add the full stops to the end of your sentences, they get cranky about that!

UK registration: Best bet is to concact the General Medical Council (GMC) to discuss registration options, requirements, etc. It used to be that had to pass an English language competence but I don't know if this still applies. Other than that, they will evaluate your professional qualifications, skills, etc.
I know of no PhDs in paediatrics but search the database on this site to see what grabs your fancy. What I will say is I strongly recommend you DO NOT attempt medical practice while doing a PhD; the time constraints are not conducive to doing either well and may hinder you in the long term.

Oops. Fervent apologies to H regarding "grammer". I blame it on an appalling lack of coffee. And no sylvester, "in light of..." is correct. And yes, I know I just began (two) sentences with a conjunction...
In addition, I can share a useless "fact": Xmas is an abbreviation for Christ's mass, where X represents a Greek abbreviation of the word "Christ". So I'm told..

Clarify your request. You're looking for a scholarship to pay fees and living expenses, presumably at a paediatric hospital? What are your ambitions - are you medically qualified and wishing to practice?
I don't know about non-UK resident grants/scholarships but I would suggest speak to the Egyptian government (if you are an Egyptian national). As to practicing, you would have to pass UK statutory registration before even attemptng it and I wouldn't recommend that time consumption cutting into a PhD!

Ah, yes. Names don't count, so I'll generously permit you to stay . I will however, allow exceptions in return for a suitable bribe.

I HATE THE ABBREVIATION "U"! It makes an intelligent individual read like a chav. So, in light of the festive season, I want to cheerfully ban all rubbish spelling (honest errors excluded), unnecessary acronyms and bad grammer.

I tried saying that sentance aloud. Not possible. Emperor penguin might manage it, but they can hold their breath for 20 minutes. Said so in Metro, must be true...
