I haven't seen much of it lately but from what I have seen I think Shilpa expects to much from her housemates. For example when she was saying that people stand up when she enters the room and call her Maam. I think she is quite shocked that the housemates behaviour towards her isn't more like that!!!

I am a second year too and I still feel like I haven't got a clue what is going on. I feel like my whole first year I did nothing. I want some results!

I went straight from a BSc to a PhD. I was intending on doing a masters but I spoke to my honours project supervisor about it and he said that masters are for people who want to change fields or for those who didn't get a good degree class. I got a first and wanted to work in the same field as my degree so I didn't do a masters. I did take a year out and worked in a lab to get hands on experience.

I went out in the rain and the bottom of my jeans got all wet and it went into my shoes.

I have done basically nothing this week, I feel guilty.

I know someone who is doing a 4 year PhD in the physiology dept. Is it a Wellcome trust one? Thats what he is doing. Apparantly the money is good.

I'm in veterinary immunology but I also do some stuff in medical microbiology.

I don't think thats true. Personally I am not keen on Manchester. I think that Liverpool has a lot to offer. Its a great place, the people are friendly and the university is good.
