I have done basically nothing all week. Feel really guilty but just can't be bothered to do anything. Obviously not feeling guilty enough!!

It was a nice thought and I probably would have used it but now I think its a bit creepy. I hate dolls and stuff that talk.

For my birthday this year one of my friends got me a plastic clock in the shape of a person. That didn't work either. He has a thing about the pound shop, I think he did his shopping there!

I got a teddy bear that is also a radio of my boyfriends nan. It wouldn't work so my boyfriend tried messing with it and there was a blue flash and the small of burning. I'm a bit scared of it now!

I like the idea of having a baby after I finish my PhD but I dunno if its a bad time. I don't want to be old when I start having kids.

Everyone around me seems to be pregnant at the moment and I know I will have to wait at least another 3 years before even thinking about it!

I am going to work at a different uni for a few weeks as part of a collaboration. I am getting quite nervous about it as I don't know the ppl or a lot of the tecniques I will be using and also I will be away from my family and friends for the first time. Can anyone give any advice on staying calm and making the most of it? I feel really rubbish at the moment and I am worried I won't be able to do it. :-(

thanks katq I am wondering if its because of the upgrade thing. I only heard today that I have been upgraded to PhD from Mphil. So maybe thats why.

Is there anyone else who is funded by the bbsrc and not yet recieved their stipend? I'm just going into my 2nd year and as yet no money for this year!
