normally I just type a few of the authors and the year into pubmed, but somehow this doesn't work with your example.
I don't even find that publication on the journals site.
Third way would be to type it into google scholar ;)

From the release notes from the new Mendeley Version 1.0:

"Travelling library. Mendeley Desktop now saves a mini-library of cited publications inside Microsoft Word and OpenOffice documents. Mendeley can import citations from this mini-library into your main library in Mendeley Desktop. This is useful if you need to update a Word document containing citations which have been removed from your main Mendeley library."

Yes. it is still possible.

Most PhD are offered in spring and a bit later and then the interviewing and stuff is done, so people can start 1. October.

but there is a lot of PhDs offered that have either a variable starting date or they are just offered now. my girlfriend just applied for one 4 weeks ago or something and was offered an interview that will take place next week.

So have a look for some spots. And if you don't find anything/get anything calls for the PhDs starting in spring will start in autumn/winter ;)

I don't know of any "button" for that, but something worth trying.

My friend recently sent me her thesis and when I opened it, it said something like "this file's citations were created by the Mendeley account of x. Do you want to connect/or something with this account etc etc.".

Maybe something wort trying is to open a new Mendeley account, logging into that in Mendeley desktop and then opening your file from the other account. I wonder if you can "capture" all the citations from the file like that.

Other than that, I don't know of any miracle button ;)

So the important thing to know about laptops is that 1 in 10 breaks. That's way more than with desktop PCs.
Because of the high chance that you laptop breaks you want to buy a brand that has good/great support! And there is only two companies that provide this and that's Dell and Lenovo(formerly known as IBM).
Dell has the big name and you have to pay your price for having the name. Lenovo offers the same, but for a bit less money.

I was more on the geek side with computers years ago and I fix a lot of PCs for my friends. Funny enough when I talk to similiar computer-helper guys we also ended up finding out that the others also always recommend Lenovo ;)
