Hehe yeah I wrote out my references manually for my dissertation.. It was a blooming nightmare!!

I always find a cool shower perks me up.. Or a bit of a walk out in the fresh air.. Failing that a wee nap works, but I usually end up sleeping for hours then being unable to sleep at night so I usually avoid that one

I use end note too.. just started using it but so far so good :o)

I am also one of the geeky sciency type PhD'ers But I spoke to an economics PhD student a couple of weeks ago lol.

Personally I think that she shouldn't be growing up so fast.. I think with something liek a PhD from what I can gather that life experience and maturity is just as important as academic ability.

I often feel that perhaps these child prodigies miss out on various aspects of their lives.

Also If she is starting now and she is 18 by the time she is done she'll be 21/22.. Would her peers take her seriously? As I have heard of young postdocs struggling to get a foothold in their research community.

I am trying a different tactic too.. I am a bugger for leaving things to the last minute and kidding myself 'That I work better under pressure'.. So I have been attempting to write my lit review as I read papers and journals..
