Hi Squaredot, my deadline is similar, ie on/before 30 September with the emphasis on before. I am working seven days a week, probably at different hours each day due to family and uni demands. I'm restructuring one complete half of my thesis at the moment and am not sure when restructured - and it will be by next weekend - if my supervisor will let me submit. I'm not sleeping, look horrendous, my house is a mess, I will be officially unemployed when I submit, I can't get an interview, never mind a job (close on 35++ rejections at this stage) and am completely and utterly stressed out. Apparently my mother and hubby were speaking on the phone the other day about my stress levels :-(. Anyhow !! we're all in the same boat and fingers crossed we'll all get there. I want to be finished so bad. I feel like a piece of elastic that's lost its elasticity.

I won't do the whole survey if you don't mind as only have a few minutes, plus I don't live or have any connection with Hampshire - that would be one observation. Is it only open to people with a Hampshire connection?
Other than I would say watch some of your tenses as you alternate in some questions
local food is spelt throughout with a lowercase 'l' except for one time when you change to upper case.
...buying food online is easier... - easier than what, than before, than I expected, easier than in shops??
you don't include homemaker or similar on the first page - not really nice to be dumped in 'other'!!!
Your question about local food being in Hampshire or being from within a 30 mile radius - would some food not come from both Hampshire and a 30 mile radius for some people?? You ask for only one answer but probably likely people will want to tick more than one.
Hope some of this is useful :-)

I used these:
Denzin, N.K. and Lincoln, Y.S. eds. (2005) The Sage Handbook of Qualitative Research (3rd ed.). London: Sage Publications Inc.
Flick, U. (2006) An introduction to qualitative research (3rd ed.). London: Sage Publications Ltd.
Holstein, J.A. and Gubrium, J.F. eds. (2003) Inside interviewing: new lenses, new concerns. London: Sage Publications Inc. - chapters in this one cover lots of different aspects of interviewing and analysis. I found it very good. Lots of it available via Google books at:
http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=erLspquhd5MC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Inside+interviewing:+new+lenses,+new+concerns&hl=en&ei=7yxrTvHFD4i8-Qb4uODcBA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCsQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false - although you can't beat having a hardcopy.
Also the journal Qualitative Research is well worth looking at for ideas and also The Qualitative Report - open source resource with a number of good articles, available at: http://www.nova.edu/ssss/QR/

Good luck Batfink, you can do it (up) Actually although I'm sure it must be really stressful, in my uni the only viva we have is the final, deciding one. By the time your PhD viva comes along, you'll be an old hand at them. Hope it goes well for you and you impress who you need to do; glad you're starting to feel better

smart casual is fine. You'll see the whole gamut of attires from those who look like they've just hauled themselves out of bed, to people who get it just right to those who have tried too hard! Also depends on your discipline a bit as in mine it's nearly frowned upon to dress too smart. In my past job we used to have grooming checks :$ where you quite literally had to stand on a stool and endure being scrutinised from all angles. At least they don't do that in conferences!!
Very good news about your very good news Sneaks;-)
Batfink, good luck with your goals, hope the medics get to the bottom of what's up with you lately, you've been feeling off for quite a while now.
Had a crash course in printing conference name badges yesterday; they look okay on screen so fingers crossed the darn things will print out and everything will be lined up correctly as I had to input the dimensions first and I'm a qual researcher not a quant :-( I will appreciate my name badge at the next conference I attend all the more after this experience!
