Hee. Just got back from a week in Amsterdam (the things you have to do for research) and found it was really easy to spot a Brit. Blokes: shaved head, sports-casual wear; Girls: straight-straight hair and too-tight T-shirt (and overhanging stomach, naturally).

S

Ahh, some Brits abroad smilies:

Kind-hearted volunteers? They get paid....for putting on that false smile and chasing you down the street!

I

Thank you Insomniac

T

Should that not be (wearing_neckties_on_the_head_shouting_Ing-ur-lund!) hehe

4

my mistake Tricky, yours is the correct version

S

Good for you Insomniac. I know that some of that get paid (this was discussed on here by the great HangSeng who, at the time, seemed strangely familiar). I avoid them like the plague, the secret being to quicken your pace, look purposeful and never, ever make eye contact!

Before anyone jumps on Grumpy old Sylvester, I do give to charity in other ways and on my own terms!

4

aw Sylvester, don't call yourself Grumpy old... We like you whatever you say

I

as is your right, my friend. but i know what you mean - i guess i've just been trying to balance the argument (i've been uncharacteristically chirpy this week).
