Quote From ChopinNocturne:
I think many people can become too attached to their work, and cannot divest themselves of the "it is part of me" mentality. It is one paper. It is not the sum of your work, nor a complete representation of your work. If this person gave you bad guidelines then he should accept some responsibility. Saying that, you took on the task....or didn't it occur to you at the outset that this may present difficulties?
Am I the only one who finds this post by Chopinnocturne more patronising than at all required? You may have noticed Chopin, that on this forum, our 'advice' for our peers is almost always relfective of our personal stories or at least a we/fellow feeling. I dont find that supportive thing in your writing and find it a tad unnecessary, especially the last line.
