Lack of Role Models...

S

I would do her

This discussion is both old and a bit odd.

Everybody should decide themselves if they have a rolemodel and who it is. This in itself is a subjective process and needs no further justification. Nobody can say: this is not a good role model for this reason. It's a personal decision. If someone's parents are their role model, why not? After all, they know them very well and they spent many years together, so assumably they know what they are talking about. On the other hand, if someone chooses Thatcher (the old bitch) as a role model, then this needs to be accepted.

My role model are definitely not the PGFT, they are behaving like dictators, do not promote the freedom of free speech (even within the boundaries of the forum rules), do not treat forum users equally or in a fair way and do not display any abilities whatsover to distinguish between abusive language and a different opinion.

If the discussion is so old, I'm confused why you brought it up!

What about Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, American computer scientist and a complete pioneer in the field? She changed the course of history with her work in computing after coming from a mathematics/physics background, and accomplished far too much to to describe here... but one of the interesting bits of info about this amazing woman is that, "to prove that things did not always have to be done a certain way, Hopper had a clock on her wall that ran counter clockwise".

Exactly what I thought coastman - it's like having DanB back again!

Just what I thought...
