Fair enough. I'd be tempted to entrap her with a Dictaphone and lead her to say something of this sort, then when she denies it you have proof. It's easy for someone outside of it to say this however, I appreciate that it's far more difficult and there are far more complications for the person involved. Good luck in moving on from her, she sounds like a complete *%$£^&"^&:"^$*".

You are about the 5th person this week to say that I should do this. However, one of her previous students took this approach and the 'evidence' was discarded as she had recorded the meeting 'without consent'. To be honest, I've got three weeks left and I just want to get out. I don't want trouble. I have supervision tomorrow though and if she provokes me any more she might just get a mouthful. I know it's wrong but there's only so much I can sit and take without responding. My usual response is "I am not going to have an argument about this', but that just seems to antagonise her further! Can't win! KB
Wait for the three weeks to be up and then really let rip. Go through the right channels and knock her down a peg or seven. If you don't then she'll still be in a position to make all her current and future students' lives a misery.

Well for me it has to be my sup promises to do something by a deadline. They are terrible. I have an equation to predict the real amount of time I will get say feedback, it goes as follows.
T = D+(D2-C)+(D3-2C)-KLM
where
T = time to get feedback
D = number of days to first promised deadline for feedback
C = number of complaints by me
D2 = number of days to second promised deadline for feedback
D3 = number of days third promised deadline for feedback
KLM = number of kicks of sups line manager
The + - errors on the answer are quite large tough, especially the + !!
Sounds like I was one of the lucky ones with my supervisor as I got on really well with him. Although at my graduation he told me I looked like Henry the 8th in my gown. This concerned me as he was fat, ginger and riddled with STIs! I'm hoping that wasn't what the comparison was based on!! :p
