Break a leg at the interview Sneaks! I'm sure you'll be just fine.
I've done some work on chapter one. I've re-written the introduction page completely and have started to restructure the chapter. Good enough for now, methinks. I might have another go at it tonight. If not, same goal for tomorrow: restructure, cut, and rewrite. Sigh...
Good luck Sneaks!
Today I got up earlier than I did all of last week and feel like I am in a better frame of mind.
My first goal is to do the Powerpoint slides for my presentation.
I really need to get some writing done today, after having fri-mon off. It's going to be difficult! It doesn't help that I've already had a bad morning- booked my car in for an MOT at 8:15am, and the man strolls in at 8:45am saying 'oh sorry, I was in bed' :-s I must say I don't have much confidence in him!
Anyway;
Goal 1- read everything I have wrote for lit review so far
Goal 2- check I need all of section 14
Goal 3- write section 14a
Good luck star-shaped!
Morning everyone! Hope you all have a productive day today. :-)
My goal is to start writing my final discussion/conclusion chapter. For some reason I'm finding this the hardest chapter of them all. I think it's because I've got lots of things to say but not sure about how to structure it, and I'm aware that the examiners are likely to flick to this chapter first so it needs to sound reasonably good. But I've decided today that I'm just going to write, not panic, and worry about the structure later.
Rather than working on the Powerpoint slides I decided it made more sense to work on the actual talk as I was unhappy with one section and hadn't yet written the summary. This is now done. Woohoo!
My next goal is to have a run through and make sure it all makes sense.
Powerpoint slides sorted out. I feel so relieved that I finally got this done. Now I just have to present the thing!
Next goal is to do 3 pieces of transcription.
Goal 1 for today - get to the office - shouldn't be a problem as I'm feeling fine - just a bit tired.
Goal 2 read and make notes on all the stuff sup sent on - I expect this will take most of the day
Goal 3 - if I have time search for useful papers in the references of the stuff I need to read (otherwise this can wait til tomorrow)
Hmm well goal 1 complete!
Goal 2 about half done and I should really stay and finish it but I can't imagine that I will be very productive as my concentration is aleady slipping so all-in-all I only got about 4 hours done :$ Which isn't good but there's no point sitting at the desk if I'm not accomplishing anything. So I am going home to walk my dog. I feel guilty though.
Don't feel guilty Ev, there's no point sitting in front of the computer kidding yourself just to make up the hours if you're not working (I think this is a bad habit of mine!).
Well I got up late today, damn. My first goal is to work on my chapter up until lunch time.
ok folks!
Goal 1 today was go for a run, which i did and am now feeling v pleased with myself :)
Goal 2 was sort out a few things to get online - Sneaks, you'll be proud of me, I finally ordered the Just Dance game and found one called Dance on Broadway which I've ordered too!
Goal 3 - to calm down and get started on my chapter! The plan is to write anything, so long as I'm writing, I can feel the dreaded writers block approaching from the west, so I better get cracking before I stall altogether!
EV, don't be feeling guilty about that, you got 4 hours work done which is better than nothing, 4 hours closer to the end! Just start afresh today and see how you do! Good luck!
I hope the writing is going OK Algaequeen. I'm also fending off writers block and just trying to write anything today.
It has been a slow morning with more faffing around on the internet than I should have been doing. I'm having a break for lunch now and after that my next goal is to write for another 2 hours, without any faffing around and procrastinating.
