I much prefer the theory about that Lamington governor bloke dropping a cake/bread roll/whatever into some gravy/soup/whatever and then throwing it over his shoulder into coconut/bread crumbs/whatever and thus inspiring a watching baker woman into creating the Lamington cake. Such a unlikely tale it just has to be true!

It's the boyfriend who's the H&A fan. I watch an episode every now and again but somehow Alf and his orange rescue jumpsuit always seems to feature.

They sound yummy. A bun will always be a small iced cake in my mind

Oooooohh! I know about Lamingtons!! I watched an episode of 'Home & Away' last week and they were talking about having a 'Lamington Drive' and I was so curious I looked up Lamingtons on Wikipedia!!! Small square cakes covered in chocolate (or choc icing) and dessicated coconut, right??
