Hi, I'm new here and I could really do with some advice.
I had my transfer interview very recently and though the meeting went ok, the points raised were quite detrimental. To be honest, I have not been happy with my project for sometime and I have no idea how to salvage anything from it? I really want to upgrade, but I can't see that people in my department will let me.
My supervisor left some time ago, they still supervise me but mostly by email/meetings every so often. The research was not what I had originally decided to do. I have found motivation a problem. Now I am very worried that the whole thing is rubbish: as at the interview they have spoken about some fundamental points and the fact that they need to be addressed. I wrote my transfer report whilst in a panic about the fact that I feel there is no point... I have felt like this for nearly the whole time.
Has anybody else felt like this, where you're not sure if you should carry on... I'm not even sure that I am doing the right thing anymore and almost left when I was writing the transfer report because I felt all my research was worthless.
Thanks, annie x
