Well goal 3 was to start editing my conference presentation...I've printed it out, does that count as starting it? :$

I think I may have to call it a day soon, my eyes are going all fuzzy and I'm shattered for some reason!

Eugh I'm really bored and haven't yet started goal 3 oops! I've been swotting up on what I can and can't eat on my new diet, but it's just making me hungry!

Sounds like we're all working away today!

I've done goals 1 and 2, so now going to sort my plan out and then get cracking with goal 3. I may also need to eat some chocolate; need it all out of the house before I start my diet on Thursday, eugh (down)

Sounds like you've got a busy day Linda!

Goal 1 is done. I'm now going to quickly blast through presentation 2 as I practiced it yesterday, but before I start goal 3 I think I'll do some planning like you Linda! I'm looking at the monthly plan I prepared just before Christmas and it seems it needs altering as I've changed my mind about the tasks to do next!

We booked a holiday at the weekend, 2 weeks in the sun in July woohoo, so something great to look forward to!

Hi everyone, I'm back!

I've been away in a cottage with hubby for the past few days, it was great but over too quickly! However, I have come home with a horrendous cold, my head is all fuzzy and my ears are blocked, grim!

But I have LOADS to do unfortunately.

Goal 1- practice presentation
Goal 2- send presentation to uni
Goal 3- type up feedback from this morning and send to E and A
Goal 4- sort how to get future feedback

I've also just realised that I need to sort my car insurance which is due for renewal, thrilling.

Morning all,

I have a ridiculous amount of things to do today, because I'm off on holiday tomorrow for a week! So:

Goal 1- send 2 emails
Goal 2- update journal
Goal 3- finish and practice presentation 1
Goal 4- practice presentation 2

Then after that there is clean the house, pack, buy hubby's birthday presents, eeek!

Well I took doogy for a big walk earlier to clear my head, so I'm a bit behind. I've done all my goals except start my next presentation though. I'm going to make myself a brew and then get cracking with it.

Sleep well Batfink! Hope you're plodding on okay Linda.

I've just done two hours of straight work (4 tomatoes with no breaks) and I've done goals 1, 2, 6 and 7 woohoo. I'm now going to take a short break and get on with speaking to sup and sorting my plan, so I can then devote the rest of the day to my next presentation!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BATFINK! I know it's crappy working on your birthday, but at least you'll be able to relax a bit after your deadline!

I am still ridiculously stressed; I have to do a presentation tomorrow that I haven't finished writing, let alone started to practice! So that's a bit worrying. I also need to finish another presentation today, stressful!

Oh dear Batfink and Linda, doesn't sound like you've been well, hope you've both recovered! That's really rubbish having to work on your birthday Batfink, but at least it will mean you'll get your writing done and you can celebrate after your deadline :-)

I am absolutely stressed up to my eyeballs. I have a million and one things to do, and then needed to do some serious work on my findings chapters. I've got a load of marking to do, need to write and prepare for 3 presentations, write up my meeting notes from yesterday, and then get started on my findings chapters. I need all this done by mid/end March but what makes it even more stressful is that I'm away for a week in March eek! Anyway, I'm going to try not to stress TOO much, and will start by making a plan.

Goal 1- do plan for next few weeks
Goal 2- do all marking
Goal 3- do module prep
Goal 4- do teaching prep

I think that will probably keep me busy all day, so I best get going!

Qualitative diss. tense (help please!)

I have been told by my sup to use past tense throughout my research (methodology and findings etc). My thesis is also qualitative so I have used 'participants stated/revealed etc'.

Hope you get your mojo back Linda, I'm sure all your feelings are completely normal! Hope you're feeling better Batfink.

I'm not really in the mood for work today, but I need to get cracking because I won't be able to get much work done tomorrow and thursday for various reasons.

So my goal for the day is to carry on with my conference presentation, and hopefully get it finished.

Grr I've just found out that I've got to go to a meeting later, which is going to take 3 hours out of my day, and therefore completely messes up everything I've got planned!

Saying that though, I sent a chapter to sup on Friday, and am now at that stage of starting a new task which I always really struggle getting into. But I'll give it a go.
