Hi all,

So I'm trying to get my head around Endnote. All is going well so far but I just have one question that I can't seem to solve. When I type in authors e.g "Smith, I." that's fine. However, when I want to put e.g "United Nations" as the author or "Department for Education" it just comes up "Nations" and "Education" in the Author box when I search on Endnote.

Any ideas? Thankyou!

As you may or may not have noticed I haven't been posting for a while. I finished my MA a couple of weeks ago so have been away on holiday and have been wedding planning. But I've just registered for my PhD so I'm back to it now! Feeling sort of excited but sort of nervous about it all. Anyway, I've decided that I will officially start working on Monday, as I have a couple of meetings to go to this week, including first meeting with sup, and also lots of forms to fill in. However I've still got a few goals for today;

Goal 1- go through all info got at welcome meeting and put key dates in diary!
Goal 2- sort parking etc
Goal 3- prep for meeting with sup

I'm 22 and live in a privately rented 1 bed house with my fiance :-)

I'm a North-Westy and still up for meeting!

I feel it's only right that us Northerners should arrange a meet seeing as we live a long way away from London! Let's try and sort something!

Just a random question. It's not my area, so I was just wondering why lecturers would question, or oppose, the idea of employability? I've never looked into this but I'm just interested, as I don't quite understand why academics would be against improving the employability skills of students? I know this is probably incredibly naive, but like I said I've never looked into this, so any insight would be great!

I'm so happy! After being 7k words over my diss word limit a few days ago, I now have just 150 words to cut! 8-)

Sneaks, you put me to shame! I've literally just got up :/ not good. Anyway, I sense today isn't going to be a good day, but I'll give it a go.

Goal 1- cut down sections 1.4-1.6, after finally getting some breakfast!

I was just coming on here to post the same thing! I'm trying desperately hard to edit my MA diss at the moment, but I'm 6k words over!

I'm sorry I don't have any real advice, but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone, and I always have this problem. I'm actually considering getting rid of one theme (mine's a qualitative study), to free up some words as it's not a main theme. But that means going through the whole thing and getting rid of everything where I have mentioned it, and I'll probably still be over the word count! Not fun.

Oww, I'm no where near London :-(

If anyone is up North though, it would be fun to meet!
