I am making a conference poster in powerpoint and it will become a A0 poster when it is printed. Problem is, I am having problems deciding how big my pictures and text should be as I have no idea how the screen will proportion itself...

Any ideas what size font I should be using - or poster tips in general?

Ah! Rescue Remedy! That got me through my 'A' Level exams - indeed the entire sixth form. The chemist asked whether I actually needed it. I lied about my age to make sure she gave it to me.

I think a weekend away in Stockholm will do the trick. And when the boyfriend gets his funding decision it can be a celebration/ consolation. After my September panel meeting I shall go... sigh... so happy.

I'm hyperventilating!

I used to eat lego, dinosaurs, pencil lead. Anything. Even the plastic which used to surround sherbet sticks. No wonder I needed to wear braces!

It is a HUGE relief.

I have been given AHRC funding. I can now do my PhD and not have to work 'part-time' (which it never is!). I'm so pleased. Relief. Working and studying has been so hard. If people don't get funding do try again and again. It can happen. Wow. I feel giddy and sick.

But happy. Must lie down. Only found out 2 hours ago....

I used to love those! I used to sometimes paint them. Or eat them (long story). I also remember the Natural History Museum endorsed dinosaur models I had - which although "more authentic" were slightly less exciting than the Jurassic Park ones, with their moveable parts, rangers with guns and what not...
