Cant you just weight it? Or what do you mean, molarity?

Hi guys

I am applying for PhDs at the moment and I wanted to ask if there is something you would advice against/for based on your experience.
If you would be to choose a PhD project again, would you do it differently? Are there any questions you should have asked and didnt? Anything that you wish you would have considered? Are there any areas in biology/chemistry science that are hard to get a postdoc in (harder than usual)?

I am torn between structural biology and cancer research. I have experience in both, like both. I was told there are more jobs available in structural biology, if you know specialised techniques such as NMR and crystallography. Is this true?

Hi guys, so I got 2 interviews I am very excited and very worried at the same time. Has anybody interviewed there? What questions were you asked?

I am also applying for PhD's at the moment so havent got much experience but I suppose you just gonna have to try and apply. Make sure you have great cover letter etc.
Or maybe you could do another MSc and ace it but who has money for that?

As the title says really. I am wondering if its possible to get a position even if you feel the interview didnt go very well. What are your experiences?

Thank you for your advice. I have looked at his publications and can see what methods he normally uses. I will contact him and ask him about this project, will see what happens:)

There is PhD project I would be interested in. Email address of the supervisor is supplied to answer questions. There are no publications listed, no methodology used. I obviously looked at their lab page but still dont know what methods will be used.
I want to contact the supervisor but dont want to look silly. Can I email him and ask him about more info about the project? Do I mention I have looked on his website?
I would attach my CV and introduce myself.
Is this something that should be done or are they not expecting to be contacted?
