Keep in there Bazzab! The first year and a half of my PhD I was convinced I was far too stupid to complete it, and that sooner or later someone would realise this. I`m almost at the end of my PhD now and I still have self-doubting days, but they`re not quite so bad. You learn to deal with the supervisor thing - about two years in I realised that I could actually make sense of about half of what they were talking about!

Course I can Mia. I`m going to rescue some sheep and keep them as pets, so I will have cruelty free wool which i will collect from the hedge rows when it falls out. What colour cardigan do you want? I`m going for red

Or maybe people who dont like spicy food will appreciate other foods more than people who like spicy food
For example I think a tomatoe sandwich is very boring, but my boyfriend who doesnt like spicy food, thinks they`re great

There`s the work to live versus live to work dilemma. But then, I reckon that since you spend most of your awake time at work during the week, you may as well do something you enjoy, rather than just making loads of money to enjoy the other part of your life which is mostly being asleep. Maybe I`m rambling a bit ...

I tried reality once and it was horrible. The thought of getting a job `outside` makes me feel a bit sick. I want to be an eccentric professor wearing hand made cardigans and talking about lots of clever things that noone else understands when I grow up

I`ve just had a Thai restaurant meal and asked for the fairly hot dish. The waitress said, "Ooh, are you sure?" making me worry in case I`d ordered something I wouldnt be able to eat.
But when it came it wasnt remotely hot! Certainly not fairly hot! And it had a four star chilli rating (the highest being five)
Its like those chilli crisps that actually taste of sugar

Get mildly pissed and use lots of long words

I`m going to finish a chapter today I think. need some more motivation though so might go for a walk and lunch out
