i think most of your questions are so specific as to be only satisfactorilly answered. by knowing your institution. Which we probably should NOT.
Housing- bugger-all gets put aside for allocation to doctoral types if that's what you mean?
As for jobs in libraries, that's basically corrupt- generally sewn up by staff for theirs and their friends little darlings.

Done mate, But no offence, what's with all the stuff about my area of experts and the size of my company? There are people here who are microbiologists and historians, etc, and anyway, most are students! -so how do they answer? Also some of the exemplar questions tend toward the extreme ;) but good luck!

It won't look silly- it will ether get binned as having insufficient publications, or treated on its merits. And of course it is also depending on the number of applicants. Gotta be worth a try!
