see, that's what I thought!! Fair enough the gym is only once or twice a week but still, that's something 5/6 days a week! It's not like I lie on my ass all day! I hardly eat any chocolate these days, it's all porridge or low fat cereal for breakfast and I only snack a little on fruit, yoghurt or ginger nut biscuits! I'm honestly confused about why I'm still putting on weight! I even cut my alcohol intake way down, well, it wasn't that high, but I figured every little bit helps! I don;t understand...
You should have a look at the Slimming World recipies and see if your husband is ok with it, it sounds like you can still eat everything, sausages, pasta etc, it's just how you eat it or cook it or something. I think I might try it, it's worth a shot, although as I'm going to live with my boyf in a few months, I'm not sure if he'll keep it up with me! I'll see if I can convince him if it works!
have you tried measuring yourself rather than weighing - muscle weighs more than fat (not that I'd know!) so that could be the reason.
Or....
You could have a littlun on the way!
lol, I'm pretty sure pregnancy is not it, and not exactly what I'd need right now *frantically touching wood, hair, anything to avoid tempting fate...* :$
My clothes still fit ok, just getting a little tighter for some things, and I'm definitely more squidgy in most areas! The interesting thing is that I can do lots of sit ups and muscle work now, and I know I've got more muscles and a bit fitter, just can't see it all! There is a six-pack stomach in there somewhere, I just can't find it! :p
Ooh, I was wondering what was happening here - I've had so many problems with my internet and couldn't get on here - v sad :-(
Anyway - ooooh, boobs not sore???...... not too tired????...... ;-)
I'm still sticking to my diet, I do WW online and actually quite enjoy it - lost 2.5 stone since January and am busy doing the Couch 2 5k to get trained up for the race for life :-) So I run 3 times a week (actually call that stumble along whimpering pityfully lmao) and I do yoga two or three times a week, also I work out to my dvds and mess around on the Wii. What I've found though is that since I've been exercising like a mad thing I've not lost any weight - I'm not putting on, just not losing. I found it all very upsetting as I have around another 10lb to lose to get to goal, but a wonderful friend online sent me some links to articles that explained how weight loss works and how when you exercise you don't tend to lose as much as quickly, but everything tones up, goes back roughly where it should be and eventually you end up a slim, toned, sex goddess (the article didn't mention the last bit but that MUST be what happens!) Are you doing lots of cardio? You really need to be doing that to get rid of the padding, if you're building muscle at the same time that will speed up the whole process.
I'd best log off the computer now, been sat on my backside writing all day (I soooo hate writing up) and am going to go have a brisk walk before doing my sit ups (50 today eek)
heehee! Sometimes I wish my boyf did, he's a fitness freak which gets a bit wearing after a while! Ah well, we'll keep on keeping on eh?! :D
lol, I just received an email from Cuisine de France with all the nutritional info for the breads, should be terrifying reading....
aarrrgh! 240 calories in a croissant....I kind of knew it was something stupid like that anyway, but it's depressing seeing it there...
I do plenty of cardio Stressed, the circuits is madness, I'm huffing and puffing after about 10 mins of jumping and running and some more jumping! I really enjoy that class though! I do the rowing machine and the treadmill at the gym, although I can't run to save my life, I have bad knees which tend to crunch (and so do my ankles) when I run for too long, so that's why the circuits is great. The dancing I could do forever, I love it and it's pretty active. I wasn't losing any weight for ages, just kind of staying the same, which was annoying but I could see why, building up muscle and all that, but I've suddenly shot up a few pounds and no idea why! I lost almost 2 stone up to last summer, but it's all coming back and i can't stop it!
And definitely no soreness of the boobs, strange cravings, random illness or anything like that! :p
ok ok, you've properly guitled me into action. I will go on my bike for 30 mins tomorrow! And I will do it BEFORE the dog walk, as I can't NOT walk the dog, but if i do the dog walk first I will make an excuse for not doing the bike.
I will also cut out mini kievs :-( or at least cut down in mini kievs.
Nooooo don't say that algaequeen! I was hoping that this was the last time it went down again - sob - I'm trying to pluck up the courage to do away with my 'fat' clothes but maybe I'll stick them in a bin bag somewhere lol. Heavens, just reading your list exhausted me! Hmmmmmmm will ponder on it lol - oooh totm? that dreaded visit from our favourite mother nature? That put 5lb on me a couple of weeks back and took 2 weeks to get off again - yoyo dieting has nothing on hormones lol..... *grasping at straws here if the boobs are fine :p* Stress, that's another and we have that in spade loads :-)
Lol Sneaks, I have a new bike and keep promising myself I'll get on it but tbh it frightens me - last time I went for a ride a few years ago :$ I ended up with cystitis - probably totally unrelated but it kind of sticks in your mind and the darned seat kills my nether regions just to look at it let alone sit on it! I considering taking a pillow, putting that on the seat and riding with that :-) lol, that'd certainly draw attention! I was looking online for solutions and they suggested wearing cycle shorts lmao - yeh, right - with my backside I'd be causing accidents left right and centre if I wore cycle shorts - sudden lack of sunlight from an eclipse or worse still just gawking in complete horror tends to do that ;-) But... they sell them with a gel pack that you wear inside it!!!! and no knickers - omg can you imagine if that fell out with a queue of traffic behind you - instant death from shame lol lol lol lol

haha Stressed - my bike is actually a home exercise recumbant one - so I sit down on a big seat rather than saddle if that makes sense -its cos I have a really bad back and my spine has to be bent when I exercise - I'm not supposed to dojogging, walking etc not supposed to do sit ups, rowing either, or lift weights, so that leaves my bike and swimming and as I have very long hair, I can't ruin it with chlorine!
lol stressed your post made me laugh so much there! :-) I'm so glad the people on this forum are nice! You should totally get the cycling shorts, wear them under ur tracksuit bottoms perhaps if they are that bad?! You could get neon yellow ones which would be fun!
I'm feeling a bit lighter today and my jeans keep slipping down, so it's probably either due to the jeans needing washed and shrunk back to their rightful size, or the fact that I'm eating good food again after I was away for a weekend there and the food provided was so unhealthy!
Feeling good about doing the diet thing though, if it makes me feel better and full of energy then it must be worth it right?! right...? :p
It's not mother nature, I think it may be a bit stressy related though! I wouldn't doubt I've eaten a few too many biscuits etc in moments of deadline panic and then forgotten about them! More like denial than stress really! :-)
And goodluck with the kievs sneaks, and get on that bike today! whoo! I've got my gym bag, going for the 2nd time this week! (up)
OK, I actually got on the bike!!! I was on it for 30 mins and apparently burned 136 Kcals and went 8.06km, although all the websites with calorie counters say it should be more 300 kcals - I've always thought my bike was way too conservative with the calorie count!
I then went on a 45 min dog walk up and down a huge hill behind my house.
I've eaten a small bowl of cinnamon cereal mmmm - but in my defense, it was the last of the packet so onto boring cereal tomorrow :-(
Feeling starving now, as ate breakfast at 6am, but will wait until 10.30 to have a snack (up)
whooo go you sneaks!! you can have a snack now though I'd imagine, after exercise your metabolism is way up so you'll burn if off in no time!! That's really interesting about the calorie count though, I wonder if the machines at the gym are like that?! I keep hearing it's simple maths, you'll lose weight if you burn off more calories than you eat, but how on earth can you know how much you're eating and burning off in a day?! Even if you count every calorie that passes your lips you can't know how much you burn off properly, can you?!
