kc, I could see the ones on H's message, after you sent your message too. How strange. Then I opened a new window, just to see what happens. So on one window H's message had smileys, on other it had boxes. I would look at the source code but it takes me ages to work out what's going on, because I'm rubbish at it . I'm sure the PostGrad Team is much better at diagnosing these things.

Yes, when you go back to the thread by clicking the "Back to Messages" button on the Add a Message page, the smileys appear correctly with the path http://www.postgraduateforum.com/images/smiley_embarrased.gif".
When you open the thread from the main Postgrad Forum page however, smileys' path is "http://www.findaphd.com/students/images/smiley_embarrased.gif" which goes to an error page.
Well done rat and 404, you've passed the deliberate "why don't all the smileys work" test we set.
