Thanks Lara. I'll post some details from the book later.
Right now I have to get working since it's almost 3pm and I'm only starting. I have not finished the chapter (which is 2 not 3 by the way, made a mistake) but I did finish the section I was working on. Word count for that chapter is currently 11,335 and I'm expecting it could go over 15,000. The main task here is to write 5 short sections (info almost directly transferred from notes)and a wrap-up.
So, let's see how much I can get done
good luck armendaf!

i got aim 1 done, then took a massive break for lunch hehe naughty me.
i have 2 more aims that i want to get done today by tommorow: i might have to work late tonight after my friends are gone, to get it done.
2. penny tree snp analysis patients 1-16.
3. re-do cluster analysis patients 1-16 (taking out failed markers).
Hi guys!
Hi Armendaf, welcome to the forum! Good luck with chapter 2 and hope it is going really well.
Lara: Glad you enjoyed the dark knight!! Was Heath Ledger good in it? I have heard his version of the joker is amazing. Fingers crossed, i am hoping to see the film Saturday and really looking forward to it.
As for me my aims have not quite been met!!! I was working on some aims which i quickly becamr bored with I am quite ashamed! If i couldn't find that part exciting how will anyone else!!! I just think i was getting fed up with re-writing that particular bit at that time. Hopefully i will get into it again on a different day!
Anyway, on a positive note i only have sections 1.5, 1.8 and 1.9 to go on chapter 1 and then it is finished! (Well until it gets handed in and revised but at least it will be finished for the time being!!)
Tomorrow, i am not planning to do much thinking (have a dreaded job interview) so will start again on Saturday. My aim is to get all of chapter 1 finished by the end of Monday. Then i will start on sorting out all my references (need to seriously undate my endnote library!) and then move on to next chapters!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great rest of the day and see you all Sat if i don't get a chance to post tomorrow. x
TG good luck with job interview. Lara good job on taking some time out for you too! And hi to the others.
This week I have found very difficult - ive just been exhausted. But today I finally got my aims finished that I have been trying to do since monday. So yeah. Hopefully tomorrow will go well. Going to visit my gran this weekend who is really ill. Just feel massive and it takes so much energy to do anything. can't wait until this bambino arrives!!
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooops sorry K!!!
----
hey everyone! it's friday, where oh where did the week go? seriously? does anyone know where my week went? *looking under rocks, 'nope not there'*...how did it go so fast? and i feel like i hardly made a dent in my thesis! still trying to finish off result analysis. oh well. i do know result analysis takes up the most time. it will be good once it's done then i can start writing.
----
my aims:
1. finish snp penny analysis (10 patients left).
2. re-do cluster analysis of 8 patients.
those are my immediate aims, will see how i get on with that before making any more aims.
good luck folks!!
Hi folks,
Starting a bit earlier that previous days so hopefully I'll get some extra progress. I love the posts welcoming me to the forum, thanks tractorgirl! Swantje, I read somewhere that you did well in your exams; Congrats! Don't freak out, just keep on working and it'll come around. And to prevent gender confusion as in K's case, I think that from now on I should sign with my real name...
...right, to the thesis now:
I couldn't finish chapter 2, but I did finish another section so now I have 4 more to go and the wrap-up. It would be fantastic finishing them all by this evening, but looks a bit overambitious; so if I can get two of those sections done I'll be happy enough.
By the way, my deadline is also at the end of September.
Talk soon
Hi!
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Celesmai: I understand you must be tired. I really admire you for doing your PhD and having a baby. A friend of mine gave birth to a beautiful little girl last week and she was always getting tired before hand. Her baby is really gorgeous though and it definitely will be worth it when your little one arrives.
Thanks also for the good luck message! The interview was a bit nerve racking and i don't think i have all the experience they are after but i guess it is all good interview experience!!!
Armendaf: Hope you are well and that you are doing well meeting your aims! It is nice to know there is another member of the submit by the end of September club!!!
Hi Lara: Hope you had a great time with your friends and that all your work is going well. You are doing so well, and it is great you didn't post loads of aims but just the two and that you said you would see how it goes! That is great, and when you have done those aims you should feel really proud and not have to worry that you have a load more to do in the same day!!
I keep posting unrealistic aims on here and i get quite down when i don't get them all done! I am definitely going to try to be more realistic from now on too!
Anyway, i am really tired, had a hard week so am taking this weekend off from study. Need to apply to more jobs Sunday but am having a day off tomorrow, then re-assessing my aims for next week! Monday i will start again with new aims and will try really hard to meet them!!
Anyway have a great weelend everyone and see you Monday!
