How do I handle my PhD?

LOL

I would just like to thank you guys for cheering me up. Have been having a bad day. (I swore at my PhD about an hour ago, and now it's walked off in a huff.) But reading this thread has really cheered me up. In fact, i'm feeling so chirpy that i might even try to reconcile with it...

That's the spirit

My PhD is as misbehaved as ever. He bit the postman the other day, then chewed up my first-year report, and my supervisor simply did not believe me. Doh! He's in the PhD-house now!

L

Thanks w2dn, my attempts to reconcile proved sucessful, and we're now back on speaking terms. That said, it still has a shifty look in its eyes...
Ginga, have you considered tying it up? (Your PhD that is!)

My PhD is now safely tied up out of harm's way. He can kiss goodbye to his long walks for a couple of weeks, because my friend will be looking after him whilst I am on holiday, I think I need one, phew!

W

I can't get any friends or family members to look after my PhD. They don't connect with it and I am worried that they might screw it up even more. He is going to become fully trained in a month so hopefully he will be able to socialise with other PhDs in the park and settle down soon.

H

I thought I had my PhD well trained and I was horribly wrong.

I took him for a walk yesterday and I let him off his leash. However he ran away and started harrassing other PhDs. Their owners were giving me evils but I tried to call him back and he was just ignoring me.

It got particularly nasty when he went for a particularly attractive PhD (the owner was a bit of a gimp to be honest).

So the moral of the story is, you think your PhD is under control.... but its all a farce.

D

My PhD - who is definately a he - really embarassed me last night. He had been quite dormant for the last few weeks but then decided to turn up with me to a party completely uninvited. He couldnt stop going on about himself especially after a few drinks. It was awful, I couldnt control him!

W

Your PhD can talk...??? Lucky you. Mine just grunts and barks and bites.

H

I think mine has an infestation of worms, he caught it off What2DoNext's PhD (thats the last time I will let your PhD play with mine).... what shall I do :'(

H

Also my mum advised me today that I should keep my PhD out of sight of potential suitors, it may put them off.....

W

That would be cruel. Besides I think messing about your PhD has taken care of my PhD's humping problem!

BTW... in order to treat the worms, just make sure you fee him only wholesome organic methods and he should start feeling better in no time. Hope your PhD has not gotten to the hair-loosing stage yet. That is a complete pain in the neck!

W

Does this mean my PhD and H's PhD are both gay...

I wonder if they will encounter any problems because of this.
