Hope things seem a bit brighter today, Emaa - I think we all need to learn to be kind to ourselves and give ourselves the breaks etc we need.
Today I have to finish writing my first year presentation. Got quite a lot done yesterday but not even started yet today. I had to go food shopping as there was nothing in the flat (and Sainsbury's have started putting their Christmas stock out - yikes!!!)
Goal 1 - summarise lit review in 3 or 4 PowerPoint slides
argh, spent ALL morning cleaning my data set (and celebrating my ***** status)
Goal 1: make and eat crumpets
Goal 2: check to make sure the same amount of participants have answered for the outcome variable.
Goal 3: Start running some blimmin analysis!
Gah, I'm making no progress at all with my presentation. I'll never get it done by tomorrow morning. Looks like I'll be making excuses to my supervisors :$ Ah well, I've never been late with anything else so it's not the end of the world if I'm not quite finished.
Still stuck on Goal One, which is now four slides instead of two.
Gah I have spent half a day on my literature section and haven't even got round to redrafting what I'd already written. I realised that there was some stuff which really should go there so have padded it out with another, very rough, 350 words. I wanted this done by the end of the week (set myself a deadline for the whole chapter in 2 1/2 weeks time) but looks like I'll be working on it next week too.
I can't stand looking at the literature section anymore so now I'll move onto the analysis for a couple of hours.
Goals 1 & 3: done
Goal 4 is in progress - I'm confusing myself with conversion factors :-s but I'll get there - I'll give it another hour today anyway and then change to another task
I ran out out of time to get to the hosp so I'm going to be in big trouble next time
ok, appendices done, going over my discussion chapter next and making changes....coffee is brewing as i type...
Sneaks, Algaequeen and star-shaped, thank you for all of you. I started fitness course today and just came back. I feel as if a new blood flowing in my body. Algaequeen, I have not broken with my boy/ husband, maybe not yet ...lol.
I have 3 hours only so
1 hour reading 4 cases
1 hour reading about certain topic
1 hour french
Oh Gosh sorry Emaa, it was Emmaki!! Sorry, I'm submitting in 2 days and a bit brain dead at the moment :$
Glad you are feeling better after your fitness class though, sometimes exercise is just the trick.
I'm just adding changes to my final chapter, then I shall sit down and go through all of them to make sure I have included everything I need to, figures etc match up and my discussion chapter matches the conclusions of the other chapters! Knowing me I'll have concluded on something totally different...
Goal 1: work out what the hell I'm supposed to be doing
Goal 2: do it
more specifically
Goal 1: read up on discriminant analysis and work out why its going wrong.
