Morning. My first goal is to get one piece of analysis done in the next hour (before taking my bike to the students union for a free MOT).
Thanks Emaa! No rejection yet and its been over 12 hours :-)
I'm late starting, but have been ona long dog walk and on my treadmill for the first time in a while as I've been ill over the weekend.
Goal 1: to do this blimmin presentation and stop procrastinating
I submitted the hard copies of my thesis last week so it is all over now. My one goal for today is to decide what to do next. Actually this has been the only goal I've had each day for the last 6 days. On at least one of these days attention to this goal detracted from my secondary goal of getting out of bed. I am pretty sure that I am going to go back to being a carpenter; albeit a carpenter who knows quite a bit about philosophy.
Morning everyone. I have really been slacking and haven't got much done this week at all. I'm staying at my parent's house until Sunday and am working in my Dad's office. Hopefully the change of scenery will help me focus today!
My goal for today is to get my chapter done and emailed to my supervisors.
Wooo, I've paid the final payment of the loan which paid for my masters course 4 years ago :-) I asked the lady in India whether I'd get a certificate and a rosette, but I don't think she understood what I was going on about :-(
Goal 2: do non-PhD work
(i realised today that I have a ton of marking to do, which I'd forgotten about!)
Morning! Have actually been on the computer for about an hour and have just been reading the papers and checking Facebook. Ahhh! So for what remains of the morning...i'd like to
1) find relevant articles and check for existing measures
2) PM - read and add to lit review as go along
Here goes...
It must feel good to have your CDL paid off Sneaks! Another couple of years to go for me :-(
I have finally sorted out the introduction section (this took longer and it should due to having a tea break and catching up with my Mum!).
Next up is the analysis sections.
it is pretty good, although hubby still has £1k left on his, but we can't increase his payments because I'm out of a job :-( I think he's jealous. I'm just glad it was good timing - that it was paid off just as my stipend finised, otherwise I'd find it VERY difficult to come up with the payments.
Next Goal: Do next piece of non-PhD work
I've had a rubbish few days on work - sitting and doing very little, I can't seem to break out of it, nothing will work. I've tried mytomatoes, tried making lists/setting deadlines, and I've blocked all the internet sites I procrastinate on, but still I'm having trouble settling and getting a task done in the time it SHOULD take :-(
Don't worry Sneaks, you'll break out of it soon. Phases like that are just part of the process.
A late start for me because I had a fair bit to drink last night and got up late :$ I only have a couple of hours this morning too because I'm catching up with people in my home town this afternoon.
My first goal is to have a final look over my chapter and sort out any problems with the reference list (I've only recently really started using Refworks so I'm sure there will be a few) and to send it off to my supervisors. And also to agree a concrete deadline with them for my next chapter because I could have had this one finished ages ago but kept putting it off towards the end because I had no official deadline.
