Morning! I have a bit of a fuzzy head after spending the night in the pub but am just about able to focus!
Goal 1- read through my application pack, make sure cover letter doesn't sound wanky and pretentious, etc and submit application.
Goal 2- Shower (must submit application before doing anything else!).
Goal 3- Make rocky road to take to the in laws' tonight.
Goal 4- Work on analysis.
Hello
my goals
1. writing about indirect ....
2. have a breakfast
3. If I still have time, call my mother and cooking, no I am tired today we will have pizza for lunch
4. I am really tired today studying in bed, but I have to meet my husband at 1.30 near to his work.
5 . have a lunch and sleep
6. read another Article
7. study french,, I am happy because I started to use the language even if I still doing a lot of mistakes, However, my English also is not excellent :p so it is not matter if I make mistakes, forget words or mix French with English, in the end I can communicate with people and study :-)
Emaa... study in bed?!
I just sent my application pack off and am glad to see the back of it! Sooo much time and effort but future applications shoulld't be so time consuming now that I have a research proposal and decent CV which can be tweaked.
Next up, shower and then get on with some PhD work!
I've done 3 mytomatoes (gift) (gift) (gift) so far today. Actually making headway on it :-)
I've seen a job I want to apply for, so will be adapting my CV and writing another covering letter for it :-( not sure my sup will want me applying but the job sounds great!
I haven't managed to do any PhD work yet. I did make rocky road though (which I managed to mess up and all the marshmellows melted. Damn.). I really don't think I can face anything which requires too much thinking but I have a lot more transcription to do so I will get on with that. The goal for the afternoon is at least 3 pieces.
Happy Monday everyone.
My goals for today are-
Goal 1- Teach stats class- DONE
Goal 2- Email materials to a student who has been ill and missed half the lectures who needs help catching up.
Goal 3- Get the notes from my last few weeks reading typed and organized. I usually do this weekly but haven't bothered recently.
Goal 4- Do either some transcription or writing, depending on how tired I am towards the end of the day (I had a bit of a boozy weekend so Monday isn't being good to me).
Spent ALL morning re-writing cv and a covering letter for a job, which actually needed an application form, although could copy and paste most of it. Would LOVE this job! eeeep.
Afternoon goal = marking :-(
next = lunch.
Sneaks, you don't even want to know what I managed to do with the application I submitted on Friday for a postdoc fellowship. I realised this morning that I managed to completely f*ck up when getting everything together and emailing it across. I'm trying to console myself with the fact that there was almost zero chance of me getting it anyway, and it won't be making the same mistake again so at least I can learn from it.
I am really, really struggling to do anything today as I don't feel good at all. No point in me staring blankly at a screen all afternoon so I am going to read one article over the next hour, call it a day and then make up the couple of hours on Saturday morning.
I'm sure its fine, they only usually go off to an admin person anyway who will contact you if its all gone wrong! I've only applied to about 4 jobs and have had interviews for all of them (although I htink for 3 of those they invited me for a laugh as was obviously never going to get it, and then they tell me the successful candidate has 3 PhDs and 40 years experience or something), anyway, I think that took ALL of my summer away!
