Hello everyone.
Been tucked up in bed poorly for the last week and am now ridiculously behind schedule on everything. But still feeling too rubbish to focus properly on the work. So today is about easing myself back into it....
Goal 1 - send several emails that should have been sent last week while I was ill - done
Goal 2 - stare pointlessly at my to-do list and realise I'm not up to doing any of the important tasks listed there :$ - done
Goal 3 - go through journal alerts and prioritise reading (about all I'm capable of doing right now!!)
I'm another one who hasn't been well the last few days either.
My first goal is to focus on analysis for as long as I can and to hopefully get a fair bit done. I have a couple of deadlines at the end of the month so I'm really just trying to make slow and steady progress with things each day.
Hello everybody
I have been toooo stressed since last week. I do my best to focus on my study, sometimes (up) and sometimes (down)
Goal 1 have a shower
Goal 2 go to the doctor, hope it helps
Goal 3 study french
Goal 4 meet my tandem
Goal 5 complete reading the book
My head hurts. But I feel like I have made some progress on my analysis so that is my first goal done. I have a short concentration span today so I am going to switch to working on my introduction section now.
Trip to the doctor this morning, who says I have a virus and a chest infection and should go back to see him again if it doesn't get better in the next few days. And expressed surprise that I'd even tried to do any work. Rightly or wrongly, I'm taking that as permission to not do any work today, and possibly tomorrow as well.
On that note, back to lying on the sofa watching DVDs I think...
I hope you start to feel better soon Batfink.
I really do have a short attention span today. I've had enough of my introduction section so now I am moving onto figuring out whether I can do the video editing I need to do for a presentation using the software I have on my computer and then to have a practice of the presentation itself.
Goal 1 have a shower done
Goal 2 go to the doctor, hope it helps it was great, incredible. It helps me a lot, and I take another appointment after 2 weeks
Goal 3 study french no it is snowing heavily so we canceled the meeting today
Goal 4 meet my tandem canceled
Goal 5 complete reading the book, yes very good book, I have not finished it yet but it leads me to a very important documents for my research. I 'll focus on them tomorrow
I feel bleh but I have so much to do today.
Goal 1: Phone up University where I did my undergrad to see if they will tell me what my results were for each unit over the phone
Goal 2: Video editing for conference presentation
Goal 3: Attend meeting with research group
Goal 4: Print off some stuff and look over for meeting with careers advisor
Goal 5: Meet with careers advisor
Goal 6: If I have any spare time between all that, work on analysis.
I am stuck at home, snow is 30 cm. So, it is better to make a warm drink and study at home. BUT I'll miss the yoga class :-(
Goal 1, make something to drink :-)
Goal 2, read the documents I found yesterday
Goal 3, writing about interception
Goal 4, cooking
Goal 5, continue reading the book
Goals 1 & 2 done. I now have 50 minutes to do a bit of writing before I have lunch and then attend meeting with research group. Things are starting to feel a little less hectic...
I haven't used this thread for ages as work hasn't been going too well. Today, though I have a piece of non-PhD work that has quite a short deadline. So here goes;
Goal 1 - read comments on document
Goal 2 - read the 3 accompanying documents
Meeting with research group done. My goals for the rest of the day are to attend meeting with careers advisor and to finish writing the section I am currently working on.
