Hope all is going well for everyone!
I've got a stack of journal articles that need reading, so I'm going to try and tackle that today. I'm mega annoyed though- my computer keeps freezing for about 5 seconds every 5 minutes or so :-s it's driving me mad! Think I'll be taking it to get fixed tomorrow!
Ooh, computer glitches like that drive me crazy, even when they're only little things in themselves!
Today, I've already contacted my two organisations to find out where they're at with launching the data collection. Otherwise, I'm going to do some reading, but mainly get stuff sorted for going to summer school this weekend and then on holiday as soon as I get back. Feeling very relaxed about the work at the moment, which is no bad thing really!
Button - does it need an update? My computer just grinds to a halt for a day and then suddenly decides it needs to update.
How is everyone doing (computer problems aside!)?
I have now worked my way through the first half of the analysis. I'm getting through it faster than expected as I actually did a chunk when I turned the chapter into a journal paper. My next goal is to work through the second half.
I'm stuck on the reliability bit of my analysis. I did a kind of focus group, but it was really presenting my findings, rather than asking for the participants to query them - so don't want to get into it too much eek. Have no idea what to write that won't be digging myself a hole for examiners to rip me apart for!
I've read the journal articles that needed looking at (Some weren't as relevant as first thought) so that's done. I now need to:
Goal 2: go over the work for my meeting tomorrow
Goal 3: practice presentation
And just to add, my computer needed no updates and is STILL freezing every five minutes (down)
I have now worked my way through my chapter, hurray. I'm going to come back to it and read the whole thing through tomorrow after a break from it as I think there may still be a few changes to make. My goal for the rest of the day is to start addressing to comments on a chunk of my literature review.
yay everyones doing well today :-)
I think I've finished my analysis section. I'm a bit worried as its about 3000 words long for method and analysis (this is just one study), not sure if its a bit long, but it is a thematic analysis, so will stick with it for now and let sup delete as she sees fit. I suppose its better to start off with more rather than less?
Just submitted a draft of a big section to my supervisor, and now moving straight on to another section. Not going to over-think and get persnickety about this one - I want it complete and sent to my supervisor.
To Button - is your computer running too hot? Have you tried speedfan?
Hi Sneaks :-) This thread looks like a great idea - hope it will help to keep my productivity high!
