well goal is done :-)
I had to go to the GP this morning, who was younger than I am :$ - I wanted to tell her that I'll be a 'proper' dr. :p but didn't. I hate going to the GP it gets me really nervous, but she gave me the painkillers I wanted :-)
Next goal is to read through what I've got for the chapter so far and work out how to restructure and expand it. Its only 7500 words at the mo - everythings written so I'm puzzled as to how to make it longer!
Today I am hoping to get my full draft finished. I may need to work on it tomorrow too but I really want to try and get it done!
My first goal is to sort out my data chapter.
well my hubby helped his sister move house yesterday, so him and his brother were removal men for the day, so he is asleep and will probably be sprawled in front of the tv and moaning about his muscles today - leaving me to get on with some work! :-)
So goal 1 today is......sneak in to the en-suite and have a shower.
Goal 2: eat breakfast.
Goal 3: write intro to chapter and work out what goes into the main lit review and what goes into the literature section of the chapter - I'm really NOT looking forward to this but its got to be done.
Hi sneaks,
Hubs is also fast asleep, hopefully he'll stay that way for an hour or so, so I can get some work done! Although I don't know whether that will happen seeing as I have a case of violent sneezing!
Goal 1- get references for big diagram
Goal 2- read analysis book
Fortunately I am home alone this weekend so I have no distractions!
I have now sorted out my data chapter. Hurray! My next goal is to edit my discussion chapter.
My discussion is now done. (up) It is quite short, but I have included some discussion through the thesis and this seems to be the trend in my research area so I'll see what my sup says. And part of me just really can't be bothered any more.
My next goal is to put together a contents page.
I have just done mine manually for now (also with no page numbers). The contents page is looking a bit of a state to be honest but for now will just be a guide for my sup as he reads through the draft of the full thing.
Anyway, I have now submitted my full draft! I still have some job applications to do but think I will tackle them tomorrow.
My goal today is to write 500 words of quality and clean my room as nearly broke a toe drawing the curtains (up)
hey all,
I missed out yesterday, I had a tiring day at work and then could not master the courage to sit at the computer!!
Thanks alot star-shaped for the advise, and well done (up) for completing your draft... how i wish.
Seems every one is giving it thier all today, well my goals for today!
1. like- methodical- my study area was a shambles - have just finished tidying up , atleast I can actually see part of the desk now!!
2. Thanks to Star-shaped's advise I am focusing on writing out the lit. review today and putting aside any material that may be useful I will have to come back to that when reviewing the final draft, or a little later atleast...
all the best- everyone :-)
I hope everyone had productive afternoons yesterday.
I just need to sort out a couple of job applications and then I am FREE for a 2 week break!
My first goal is to finish a supporting statement which is half done.
wow I'm massively jealous star-shaped! But it has motivated me to get cracking today.
I'm still in my pjs cos hubs is having a lie-in. So before he gets up I want to finish the 2 paragraphs I need to do the intro of this chapter.
That's great star-shaped!
Hubs is out until this afternoon so I really need to begin my analysis, eek! I can see this being an incredibly long process, and I'm really not looking forward to it!
Goal 1- read analysis book
Goal 2- start analysing interview 1 (of 20 :-()
Morning all! Well done Star-shaped on your full draft, hope you can go away and relax! I am very envious of a holiday - we really need one :-(
Managed to start looking at the corrections list last night (still awaiting the formal paperwork in the post) so have done most of the easy nit picking ones! I sent off the appendix that needs attention from my sup re three values quoted (this is his work that I had to include in my appendices so am not responsible for it!). Today I wanted to look at wording a small clarifying paragraph for my lit review - my examiner had some 'fun' understanding the principles of my model compared to physiology, so I need to spell it out for the reader.:$
