Sadly not a 9am start but I thought I'd join this thread to motivate myself as I'm not making a lot of progress at the moment. So Goal 1. Get the applet I'm struggling to write to complete the next stage in my analysis.

Goal 1 is done yippee. I'm now going to crack on with goal 2.

well I've spend most of the day running errands, but I've just read through my intro to the chapter and have only 1 thing to put in - why I've looked at a certain thing, but I can't really work out a good explanation :$ apart from 'well cos there's a relationship with x and y there might be with x and z which would be interesting' hehe - oh dear.

Am going to crack on with the method and results section and come back to it.

my supv pulled me up on not emphasising enough in my intro why I was doing what I was. Beyond saying 'eh, 'coz I wanted to...' I found it difficult to justify beyond what I had already done!

Goal 2 is half done, just need to analyse the other interview which shouldn't take me too long.

Had a big argument with hubs though and he's gone out to cool off :( need to get this work done before he gets back. Anyone go through phases of arguing, and then nothing for months? That's what we seem to do! I think it's a mixture of PMT, stress on both parts, and us spending too much time together this weekend!

Goal 2 is done, not sure I'll have time to do goal 3 but I'll make a start.

poor button! yes - we argue, often its actually because we haven't seen enough of each other and he goes into toddler mode at not getting enough attention. Also - he gets hungry and really really angry. I have to watch his eating like a hawk to make sure his blood sugar doesn't drop. Otherwise he goes crazy and starts shouting, eats and then 10 mins later comes back with tail between his legs apologising :p

I've just done the method :-) and I have the results all written up, so its just a matter of putting them into the doucment - although will need some editing I think as I wrote them up so I could understand them alter on! I also need to re-run one section of analysis to control for soething i've just realised may come up as an issue if I don't. :$

Thanks sneaks! We made up and all is well again. I hope that is the end of our silly arguments for a while!

I have the job from hell to do today; to start my upgrade report :-(. I have no idea how to reduce my 25k lit review into 1500 words! Any advice anyone? Hmm I may start a thread about it.

Goal 1- read info for upgrade
Goal 2- try and write section a of upgrade report

hubs took me to see harry potter last night so didn't get a chance to finish my results section. So that's the main priority today and then to start on the discussion.

Sneaks what did you think of HP?

I thought HP was good, I'd only read that book once, so had forgotten loads but it was ok, much better than the last one, which I thought was mainly a long film about people faffing about in a tent. I think there should have been more action from the death eaters though. i.e. more helena bonham-carter and co.

Sounds like you're doing really well Sneaks! I also hate discussions, but I'm a couple of years away from that bit yet!

I'm making good progress on my upgrade report, although I have eaten 2 strawberry cream cupcakes and a dairy milk to keep me going :$ I've also been getting distracted by searching for a puppy! I'm trying to persuade hubs to let us get one, and am thinking about buying all the stuff for it so then he can't say no (up)

I also thought the HP film, although fab, needed a bit more umph; it was a bit of an anti-climax when potty popped off old voldy.

yeah I think voldemort was supposed to be much more powerful - and he kind of looked like a peed off grandad rather than an all powerful wizard. In the book harry just gets lucky really, and that wasn't really reflected in the film in my opinion.

I am the queen of researching puppy breeds. Make sure you get one from a registered breeder where you get to see mum (and also dad if possible). You want to see health checks etc as you'll regret it down the line if you don't. You also want to consider how much they'll grow, how much they eat and how long walks they will need, how high fences you'll need for a garden and potential health problems that may arise in each breed e.g. hip dysplasia. I have the perfect dog, so PM me if you want to know the breed :-)

Okay, I'm officially bored. Hubby isn't back from work until 7:30 so that means I don't need to start tea until 7, and I therefore have a full, quiet two hours to do something. But motivation = zero!

Right, late start again today - hubs is off on leave and its seriously delaying me - I usually get up and get the dog walked by 9 and at work, but he insists we sit around watching tv shows and then walk the dog :-s

Anyway, I was given my final submission date yesterday and I have to have the 1st draft in in 10 days. SO I MUST finish this discussion section for my last study today! I spent last night doing a padded out plan of it - which is 1000 words, so I'm hoping adding those bullet points with words to make sentences will have me done by the end of the day (probably not actually going to happen).
