I've been doing my favourite hobby - eating a massive spagetti bolognase covered with cheese whilst watching Americas next top model :p
I need to now turn off the tv and finish the limitations section of the discussion.
if Tyra catches you eating spag bol topped with cheese she won't hold up your photo;-)
Any tips for encouraging a dog to go for walk who doesn't want to go if it's windy, if it's dark, if there's something on tv he wants to see etc etc! My son brought him jogging two years ago and he [the dog] hasn't forgiven him. Ever since it's been tough to get him to go if he doesn't want to. Our dog must be the only dog who refuses a walk - and he gets offered one every day.

wow my dog loves walks! She has a frisby and a ball which make her even more excited. Have you thought about taking the dog somewhere different, like a river or lake - my dog loves getting covered in river weed :p Or maybe go outside and just sit somewhere, so its not constant walking, then he may prefer it after a while and want to go out?
ETA: has he been checked for any underlying problems?
probably there's more we could do but I don't think he has it too bad. He loves the car and gets to go the beach 3 or 4 times a month where he swims, digs and generally has a ball although he only 'fetches' stones not balls - we found that out the hard way! He also gets to go to the park a good bit on top of the regular everyday walks. It's all about getting him in the right mood but he loves his sofas and no matter where you feed him, he carries his bowl into the sitting room and plonks it down in front of the TV :$. We're actally not a tv dinner family but he obvioulsy wishes we were! He does have a few issues but he's nearly 10 now so probably too late to change. It's not really an age thing as he has always been like that. Hmm we should have known; when we collected him as a puppy he was asleep in front of the fire!
mine's asleep on the sofa now - she's got in the habit of picking apples off the bottom of trees (actually pulling them from branches with her teeth) for us to throw - we should have called her scrumpy!
My head is killing :-(
Must....write....discussion
wow, what a lot of spam we have this morning. Today is the final day of draft prep.
Goal 1: proof read and page number Chapter 1
well my draft is ready to go in - except, in needs to be printed and posted and yes, today would be the day when my printer breaks and I have no car. So I'm going to spend the next few hours swearing at my printer, trudging down to staples and swearing at them for not hurrying up with printing and then messing everything up and then trudging into town to find the only post office left in the entire city. :-s
Hey sneaks,
I am super jealous..you actually have your whole draft .. what I would give for that;-)...anyway I hope you have got round all the bends you had to.. Im sure it will all fall into place.. even at staples:-)...now dont dissappear from here just cause your goal is complete.. some of us are barely there.... all the very best (up)
all posted :-) although I got my printer working inthe end and its printed little dots all over each page, but I got so irritated by it, I've just it as is.
Also have a horrible job of emailing people about turning down work today. Not good.

Gosh, that's a bit of a cheek as it's hardly coming out of her pocket, or is it? I tried giving my supervisor hardcopy chapter drafts as that way I would know for sure that he got them but he was wise to me and asked me specifically to email him drafts so he can use 'track changes' which he has only done once!
In my first year as a postgrad I handed the pg co-ordinator a hardcopy of my progress report. He looked at it as if it was some sort of alien creature and asked me to email it to him as "that way I can just move it to the folder", read "that way I don't have to actually read it"!
Well done Sneaks, chillax this weekend (up)
