Oh, my! No one around? I took the wkd off but I'm back.... I have a few bits and bobs to do but main goal is to assemble everything and start formatting pages, margins, etc.

My one goal for today is a big one - to finish thesis!!! (hoping to submit tomorrow)

Quite a lot of formatting still to do, and some references to add. Really hoping I can do this......

Thanks Tey, you too, good luck with your formatting! I'm sure you'll manage to submit tomorrow:-) I'm not far off myself but until I get some feedback from sups, this is pretty much all I can do, refs, appendices and formatting! Not much fun but definitely needed!

Hi All!

Well I was going to try and push to get my thesis handed to sup for this Friday, but she's just told me she won't have time to read it until next friday. So I'm going to use the time to really get the thesis finished (it would have been a bit more of a draft for this friday).

What I have left to do for next week

- re-draft Chapter 5
- re-draft Chapter 6
- Write Chapter 7
- ALL references to be added (only done 30 pages of entire thesis so far)
- add in appendices
- check SPAG
- add in table of contents.

SO today's overall goal is to try and get at least the results section for Chapter 5 done.

Hi Sneaks, how was the presentation? And the conference? I hope it all went well.

My main goal for today is to add the remaining of my appendices and format them all.

well, it went well and I've had some great feedback. It took me about 2 whole days to design the slides though and about a week or 2 of pondering about what to put in it. I'm now having an argument with the organisers who want to share the slides with all delegates. I've already had 3 delegates want copies so they can reproduce my workshop in their companies, but I'm damned if they're going to earn ££££ from just re-delivering a workshop I came up with and I'll get no mention at all :-s

2) Polish methodology chapter (almost done)
3) Start third analysis chapter

PhD day starts now for me, as I went for a coffee after work (I really need these small breaks).

So, today I will continue working on 2nd analysis chapter (I know I have been working on it for a lot of days!!! I just can't seem to be able to finish it...)

I'm in a quandry. I have a quote with a swear word in it. Not sure whether to ** it out or leave it. It refers to a particular group and begins with the letter between M and O, if you get what I mean. I feel uneasy leaving it in as is..but then not sure if I dilute it in some whay by **ing it out?

@Sneaks, personally I believe that all verbal communication is meaningful so I wouldn't leave it out, maybe just *** it so that readers can still make it out without offending anyone? It's not you saying it after all! You're just relaying the info!

@Emmaki, I wouldn't worry about taking too long, some things take longer than others;-)

Anyway, I really really need to push on with my work today. No 30 mins of staring into space today!

Goal 1: read current discussion section and plan out new dsicussion section.

Past couple of days have been very slow, so I'm going to try really hard to stick to tomatoes today. Still not finished my appendices so these are my first goal. Hopefully will be done by lunchtime.
