Thank you, I am officially giving up now! I can't concentrate on anything!
Well done with accomplishing all those goals today Button! You've had a cracking day by the sounds of it! (up)
Right, I'm off to the sofa to watch Shrek and feel sorry for myself proper! :-)
Good work Button! I'm off to uni today and tomorrow so my goal for today will be to get there and back in one piece! My goal for tomorrow is to pass my annual review, eek! Good luck today (up)
Goal 3 done, 2272 words written today woohoo. My next goals aren't going to be so straightforward though, because I'm going to combine a few sections and generally wiggle them about.
Anyway, I'm off to have lunch, walk doggy etc, hope to be back at my desk by 3pm.
Hope everyone is getting ok today (up)
Hi anyone!
Ok, I made a big error yesterday by telling my sup that I'll be able to send the first draft of my meth chapter to her by next Friday...forgetting that I had intended to have this weekend off, and I'm busy for 2 days next week, eek! I'm about half way through it, but I really want to meet this deadline. I've got everything planned so it's just a matter of writing up. Best get going then!
Goal 1- write sections 3.4.6- 3.4.11
Good morning!
You can do it Button! You've made excellent progress this week so I have every confidence you can do it!
I had my annual review yesterday and I passed, thank goodness! It was a very nerve wracking experience and all we really talked about was getting ready for viva... it's good cos it means that they obviously think I will get there but it's like the pressure has suddenly increased! Eek! And I was so nervous that I worry how my nerves are going to cope with viva! Although I can't thank the folk on this forum enough for posting their experiences and breaking down the mystique of the viva!
So goal one today is to finish the rough work on my chapter today, as next week I want to get into refining and doing the introduction and conclusion bits. I want the "beef" of the chapter finished today. So here goes...!
Grr so I've achieved basically nothing yet as I've spent all morning chasing my bursary payment! (I realise I am lucky to have a bursary but it would be nice if it actually arrived when it should!)
I hope everyone's having a more productive day than me!
I am now going to do some work!:-s
hopefully get some shitty marking out of the way today and start adding theory analysis to a rough paper on libya and press coverage of the conflict (to be done this weekend). Enjoying my new kindle far too much and also freaking out about the premier league games on sunday!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh come on united!!!
Lindalou- well done on your annual review! Hope you've got some writing done now, I hate faffing with admin related jobs.
Davies87, welcome! If you look back on this post, you'll see lots of productive and unproductive days...we all have them! And remember we all work differently. For example, I tend to write a couple of thousand words everyday for a few days...and then go weeks and weeks without really writing anything. Whereas some people will write perhaps 300/500 words most days. If you set yourself one goal (however small) you'll feel so much better coming on here and saying you've done it!
Okay I'm feeling much more positive than I was this morning, it's really helpful having such a detailed plan to work off. Goal 1 is done, 2300 words written today so far. Not sure how much more I'm going to be able to write before puppy drives me crazy, because I couldn't walk her with it being so wet.
Goal 2 would have been to do section 3.5, which I have very nearly written
Goal 3- write section 3.6
