Well done everyone, I've cracked all three of my goals today as well as completing a task I had earmarked for tomorrow, so I've made good progress today (although the receptionist at the surgery wasn't very helpful and said my doctor wasn't available this week and they can't see the diary for next week - what is all that about?!) so Goal 3 will be postponed for later this week!!!
This afternoon I'm doing some reading, then I'm going to get some fresh air. I have one more article to go then I'm off out :-)
Oooh, sounds like everyone has had great days!
I didn't get round to my data analysis but I did sort out a load of other bits that needed doing and also had a good hunt around for stuff to do with job applications. Yikes. Tomorrow I'll make an early start on the data analysis - gotta head off to a meeting now so that's all I can achieve today. But we decided who to ask to be my external examiner in this morning's meeting - it's oddly terrifying and yet also comforting to have made the decision, and I'm very happy with the choice too. Cool!
See you all tomorrow (and how nice that more people have joined the thread - do stick around!)
Morning,
Yes agreed Batfink, the more the merrier I say! Good luck with your analysis!
Well after yesterday's workfest I have a bit of a quieter day planned today, I have a dentist appointment that I have to drive miles to this morning (tsk!) so I'm going to take some reading with me, as I usually arrive early, depending on the traffic.
I then have the following goals for today:
Goal 1: Re-write introduction
Goal 2: Plan out section 3 all ready for writing up tomorrow
Goal 3: Write a draft conclusion
Have a great day everyone, it really does help coming here and setting realistic goals every day. It feels great when you achieve them, and makes you feel supported when you don't!
Goodmorning everybody!!!!!
After a long time off the forum, here I am again.
During this period I finished (just a few things to add here and there) my second analysis chapter and I have wrritten an awful first draft of the third analysis chapter, which I have to send to my supd on Monday.
So my goals for today:
1) Finish references of the awful draft
2) Read it and try to make it more decent (if possible)
3) Write a schedule of introduction
Good luck!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone, and welcome back Emmaki!
I started my data analysis early this morning so am making good progress. I have two sections of analysis that I want to do today - I'm about a third of the way through the first section, so there's a lot to do, but hopefully I'll manage it.
Good luck all!
Well done everyone for how well you've done so far, and welcome back Emmaki! I'm back from my appointment now, typically as I typed that I'm usually early I got stuck in traffic so ended up being late! I hate being late!
Going to get on with my goals now, though I'm feeling a bit sleepy this afternoon! I might need a few coffees to keep me going this afternoon!
Making good progress today. I'm over half way through my second set of data analysis and should get it finished this evening. Still masses to do to hit my deadline, but at least today I will achieve my target. Phew!
Hi all...
Did not make good progress today...
I managed to finish my first goal (finish the reference sof the awful chapter) but then I had to stop, because I had a new pellet stove installed (getting ready for winter!!!) and after that I had to clean up the mess...
So I guess the other two goals are being moved for tomorrow.....
