Today I want to read and make notes from the entire book that I have access to for only 2 weeks?! Hopefully, this should give me a starting point for my conceptual model.....
2 chapters down - 11 to go :$
But the dog really wants to go for another walk and I want to go to the park to practise my drop-kicks!! Oh dear - well at least one more chapter needs to get done before I give up for the day - the book is very useful as I suspected it would be but much, much tougher going than I was anticipating.
Keep up the good work everyone 8-)
10 tomatoes today, although I ran out of steam for the last 4, so did paper searches instead of reading papers.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be more productive :-(
10 tomatoes is great, Pinknumbers! (up)
I have finally finished a rough draft of my first literature review chapter (there will be another one). And ... it's far too long. :-( 14000 words, when really it should only be around 10000, max 12000. I haven't even fully written the introduction and conclusion yet. I'd better start cutting some words!
Last goal of the day: cut 400 words.
Morning Moonblue. Wow, you have been working hard this weekend!
Early start for me to get some work out of the way so I can enjoy the afternoon because it was allegedly supposed to be sunny out, but I can't see it myself.
My goal is to focus on transcription until 10am.
wow Moonblue, do you have any words left???
Off to the farmers' market to do weekly shop, then back to work!
Lovely day up here, I think I will work outdoors :) hope everyone else is enjoying the sun!
Wow, Moonblue, you have been working hard! Good luck everyone else as well.
I have to send the paper I'm writing to my supervisors by tomorrow lunchtime, and have about 2000 words left to write. Some of those words will be straightforward, but others require looking stuff up in books. Eek! Goal for today is to get the whole thing drafted out, so I can edit/tidy up/add references tomorrow. I'd better get on with it!
All you people working really hard on a Sunday are making me feel a bit guilty.
I achieved my goal for today- worked for 2 hours and did 3 pieces of transcription. I'm done for the day- I can't handle working through the weekend!
farmers' market was really disappointing :( we've always enjoyed going there but quality and variety seems to be going down whilst price is going up.
Done 3 tomatoes, now for lunch (waffle, woooo hooo!)
Call mother after lunch (unfortunately it usually takes good 2 hours), then back to work.
9 tomatoes done today, made a batch of strawberry and blue berry preserve, a batch of frozen yogurt with honey & ginger, and batch of spicy tomato sauce.
Pink numbers, the frozen yoghurt sounds great! I'm always looking for new things to try so might Google for some recipes later!
Today is going to be gloriously sunny, but I have to accept that there is no time to laze around in the garden tanning, or even reading in the back garden. First up, I will get a chunk of my conference presentation done.
Morning all!
After working flat-out yesterday I only have a small amount to do on my paper before the lunchtime deadline. Yay! So goal one is to get that finished and sent off. Goal 2 is to do the housework I've been ignoring while doing this paper!
But it looks like it'll be a nice day so I might go for a walk this afternoon. There's a beautiful, peaceful spot about half an hour's walk away, where the canal meets the river, with a path going up through the woods along the riverbank - I love going there, and I feel like I've earned a good break!
