Looks like everyone else was super productive at the weekend! (up) I spent all weekend getting my husband to realise that if he actually did just 1hr a week on his PhD he could get it done, as he was saying he doesn't see the point and was going to just leave it and not bother even trying to do his viva - after 3 years of work!?
My Big goal = Do as many analyses as possible before sup finds out they're not finished! Argh!
Well the dreaded request for the data has come in, but I have until the end of the month! But I foresee her wanting reports BEFORE that date so she can read through and then we can talk about them, so need to get this done ASAP.
I've done 1, with the use of 4 tomatoes.
haha I've done 2 analyses so far today - good going I think! I have now done 15/40 that I need to get done probably by the end of this week!
I've also been really motivated today and decided I'm going to start writing up my methods chapter - doing 200 words each day on it.
I'm off to walk the dawg 8-)
Good going everyone - you all seem to be making steady progress (up)
I have made it into the office (my 1st goal although I didn't post earlier).
I need to spend the rest of the day really getting my head around the procedures I will be using for my labwork so that I can start ordering some things and finally make some progress. I'm already so overwhelmed that I feel naueous :-(
one step at a time Ev!
I've just had my draft of a paper sent back by sup. She has 'tweaked' (re-written) it and it looks pretty good. Problem is its 3000 words over the limit of any journals in our field, but no matter how many times I have raised it, I get ignored! How can I just cut 3000 words?? - its written very concisely as it is!
On with the analysis while I get my head around it!

one goal for today...not to freak out about everything I have to do.....god.....
Good luck Keep_Calm with the feedback, and EV try not to let arguments get to you too much, try to look at work as way to escape from thinking about it, and take one day at a time as Sneaks says, and one task at a time. Everyone has to start somewhere, and if you let yourself think about everything ahead of you, it's terrifying I know. Maybe I should take my own advice ......
Phew, one rough draft of my literature review done! What a relief. Still lots to do on it (introduction, conclusion, all the bits I skipped while I was writing it, all my references...) but the bulk of the writing is done. I honestly didn't think I'd ever make tomorrow's deadline, but it looks like I will do now. So, good luck everyone else, lots of small steps and you'll all get there...
Maybe I'll go for a short walk and get some fresh air. Haven't left my flat since Saturday morning!
