Morning!
I've done my first goal, which was to go through the versions of my upgrade paper that my supervisors commented on and transfer their comments onto my working copy.
Second goal - the easy bits! Add in the appendices that are simple cut-and-paste jobs. I think I need to ease myself back into the work after achieving so little yesterday.
ooh I'm doing quite well, I've only played around with a paragraph and added some more studies to it, but its the most writing I've done in weeks!
Off for a cup of tea!
Hope I do as well as everyone else seems to be!
Goal 1: Get my references up to date so when it comes to the end I don't miss any out.
Goal 2: An hour of exercise. Shall dust off the bike and the weights!
Goal 3: If I actually get the other two done and I'll redraft my abstract.
I would have just gone straight on with chapter 8 but I'm waiting for feedback on it.
Well I took most of the evening off yesterday as I got really sleepy at about 7pm. Yesterday I made a list of what I need to do for a paper due this week and made the minor changes. So today I really need to crack on with the list as it's rather extensive!! But struggling to get going this morning.
So goal 1: get to office
It has been a slow morning but I managed to get over the mental block which I had and got a good chunk of work which I was struggling with done. I will come back to it tomorrow and aim to have the whole thing drafted out by Friday, spending a few hours on it each day. (up)
My next goal is to spend an hour or two working on my panel report.
Good luck Ev, I'm a sleep monster just now as well (you know it's bad when getting in before mid-day seems a genuine achievement!).
I was a bad Teek yesterday and barely started goal 2, I think I need to break it down more. So...
goal 1: make a mindmap of the section.
Goals 5 and 6 are done.
Goal 7- write section 7.
I think I might give up one I've done goal 7- getting back into this writing lark is hard after not writing anythign for weeks! But if I do feel like doing something after that;
Goal 8- add in meth about class
Goal 9- carry on working out how to use endnote.
wow, I haven't completed my goal, as it was a tad ambitious, but I've done a lot more than I thought AND I am feeling a lot more positive about this paper now. I reckon if I have a similar day like today tomorrow, then I'll get the intro done.
I have an interview next week and have done NO prep at all, so will be doing that for the rest of the evening - I don't think I'll get the job, but I don't want to look like an idiot when I can't remember the findings of any of my projects either!
Thanks Teek!
Hmmm, well Goal 1 achieved also had a healthy lunch and making some progress with the draft. It's bulkier definitely but there's so much left to do!! Anyway - onwards and upwards (up)
Good luck with the interview Sneaks! Sure you'll knock their socks off :-)
I actually stuck the headphones on and managed to work for about 2 hours solid, don't know when I last managed that!! Now have my graphs tarted up and can start the scary bit of figuring out how to lay them out on pages....
