A late start for me today as I have been to the gym and will be in the office until 6.30 anyway.
My first goal is to work on my chapter, so I will get on straight on with it!
Crap (sorry mods) - I've just had an email from sup (track changes look horrendous!) - I have to get discussion done by today! argh!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm stressed. Goal 1 is done, but it's just made me realise that I have two major issues with dissertation that I need to discuss but I don't actually know what I'm trying to say. So I can see my whole day being taken up looking at that, and I wanted to go wedding ring shopping grr! I've got a "to do today" list as long as my arm, so I best get going.
Good luck everyone!
Ugh Im so sluggish today due to very little sleep last night, so it's taken me ages and ages to get going. Just received an email for my absent 3rd sup who was asking how I'm getting on and when he'll be getting the rest of my chapters. With 8 weeks to go to submission, replying saying I have yet to start 3 chapters was not a nice experience. Best get cracking today then. aaarrrgh.
Oh dear, everyone seems to be stressed today.
I did my first goal and rewrote on chapter section which I am now almost happy with. Next I need to pop out of the office and stop at the library, before a quick lunch and then tackling another chapter section.
Right 500 words done on the discussion and I've talked about hypotheses 1 and 2, only 3 to go, then implications, limitations and future research by 5pm ARGH.
I'm starving so lunch now!
I think I'd better join in with this thread again! I've been in a major panic about my upgrade meeting (early September), writing frantically. I've reached the 'beyond panic' stage now. We're going away for two weeks on Saturday (though I'll be taking my laptop with me...), which means there are lots of other things to do as well. Argh!
Next goal for today: revise section 2.3.1 I found researching and writing this section fascinating, but have gone over it so many times now that I really don't want to look at it again! (sprout)
Anyway, onwards and ... ummm ... sort of upwards.
phew - did the discussion! sent to sup at 5.04 pm - I know she said 5 but I was applying the track changes!
She wants me to look through changes she made this morning on the intro - but she continued to make them during the day, but hasn't sent me them. What's the point? SurelyI should look at her most updated document, rather than making changes on a paper that is old (i.e she has the most modern version of) - wierd.
Anyway, I have a very patient dog waiting for a walk, then I have to go to the shops for tea - then hopefully will come back to a good email from sup HA!
Good going on the discussion sneaks!! Nothing like a deadline to keep ya going!
Today, I'm doing corrections for 2 chapters, I stupidly thought yesterday was Wednesday and told my sups that I would have corrections in by Friday, giving myself 2 days...but no, it's Friday today, so that means I've got 1 day! Joy!
Good luck!
Morning all,
I'm really tired this morning so I don't know how successful I'm going to be today, but I'll give it a go;
Goal 1- read what written for discussion so far
Goal 2- add in bit about 3 factors
Goal 3- add in other factors which could have had an impact
Mornin! I've already had an email back from sup with A LOT of track changes, so will be busy getting them sorted.
I've already been for an hour walk with the dog (up), paid off my credit cards (up) cancelled my survey monkey account which was adding £20 a month to my credit cards (up) but am left with - after being paid TODAY at £0 in my back account - looks like its another month of being in the overdraft - very worrying considering my stipend payments will stop in october and I have NO job lined up! starting to get very stressed about that.
I'll just go and trawl the job sites!
