Another day.. another text vigil! Has anyone heard of any Masters letters yet? So far it seems to be just PHDs. I am quite amused about the TLoJ development - mostly because it's going to drive my Mum absolutely nuts when the damn thing arrives. She won't be able to tell what it is without opening it, which I have expressly forbidden her to do! Hehe, that is a small amusement in an otherwise tense month... ;
And a huge CONGRATS to you mskoncept!! I have just realised that your TLoJ was for a RPM so the Masters ones must be on the loose now too. Still not heard of any PPMs yet but they may be on their way!
Oh God, I have butterflies.
The letterbox vigil is also beginning again this am - but with the added twist of will the TL be a TLoD or a TLoJ - how high can a human heart rate rise and how much stress can be inflicted before spontaneous combustion takes place - that could be an interesting study.... Had to lol at the idea of the FLoD and the alternative occupations booklet
Sigh, so much work to do - I'm having to carefully proofread the drafts before sending them to my supervisor to check for accidental inclusion of 'AHRC' 'was that the post' 'omg!!!!!!!!!!!'
Congratulations mskoncept: that's brilliant news. Great to hear some positive news but also about the envelopes. I really didn't like the idea of knowing before I'd even seen the content of the letter... Let's hope there's more news on the way. When I worked in admin we used to send all our post 2nd class and it would often take ages to arrive, floating around in the world of the Royal Mail, so that won't help, especially if we're trying to discern a pattern of sending!
Whilst not knowing is stressful - it also brings out the optimist in me. I can open the letter and still be hopeful right until the bitter, heart-wrenching, soul-destroying end ;)You can totally tell I'm a drama student!
yes - fab news mskoncept . Good to hear about a success
Stressed - have promised a drum kit to smallest son when finished my 20k words... noisy, but bribery is the only way, I find. Have perfect view of front garden path and hence postman, from desk, hmm...no wonder have only written 5k so far.
a drum kit???? - I bribed mine with a nintendo Wii!! So far it is working nicely We brought it at the beginning of the holidays and the appeal hasn't dropped so far - result!
I take the opposite approach - my caravan converted into a pink palace of an office is down the garden as far from the house as possible. That way I'm not sitting listening - however the gate from the house is infront of me and I find myself staring in terror everytime someone comes out to see if they are waving an envelope lol.
Nothing yet.....
Everything crossed for you! Last year the FLoJ arrived on the one morning that week that I was out and working all day - I was only working pt and mostly afternoons. My husband showed up at lunchtime saying he had decided to come into town for a coffee - he presented me with the FLoJ (that he had steamed open!!! grrrr - just to check) in the middle of Costa Coffee! I wonder if people were concerned by my scream and then collapse into floods of tears lol - he could have picked somewhere more private lol lol
