Dear god what happened!
the HUGE great big orange bars aren't very appealing with the purple menus...but looks like some new features have been added at least.

Hmmmmm not sure that I like it - I'm sure we'll get used to it, but hey, this is a stressful time for us all - change of our forum layout maybe the straw that breaks the camel's back in some cases!!! I don't like orange :-(, the lilac is quite pretty and soothing, but orange??? Its like BAMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hmmmmmm........ Oh well, I guess so long as we can all stay together and they don't go offline again at important times it'll be ok 8-)

I've been lurking on here for the last few weeks but have now decided that my combined hysteria/panic/repetitive yells of WAS THAT THE POST?/postman-stalking tendencies [we have a new one and he is LATE every day] would be best shared with a like-minded community.

I must say I am very disturbed by the new colour scheme.

I have decided tomorrow is the day for the letter.
If it does not come I shall simply pretend not to care anymore!

I have a sneaking suspicion there will be lots of letters floating around today.
As a result I can't concentrate on ANYTHING!! My stomach is turning and I feel quite nauseous.
I'm sure this process should be illegal on the grounds of mental torture.

At which point my post arrived rather predictably without any AHRC post; thus removing my pretension that they might actually be interested in advising me of the outcome of my application.

It came! I got it! Good luck to everyone else. I'm really shakey! It was panel 1 PhD for others waiting. Thanks for all the support through the wait. :-) xxx

I thought so too Pamplemousse so you should keep hoping! It's dated the 11th so that's quite efficient for 2nd class Royal Mail. Presumeably there'll be more posted this week so fingers crossed for you all.

Yep Royal Mail say 'by the third working day' and yours came on the second; plus I'm in the middle of nowhere and post came quite early which generally means they've left without all the post!!
Anyway I'm very pleased for you, is good news that some +ves are coming through
