congratulations pamplemousse!

there seems to be at least one person succesful each day now! who will be next? no post for me today. i'm preparing myself for rejection by looking into alternative careers, and trying to get myself excited about those!

Just email postgrad officer @ AHRC for my panel to see if my letter had been generated and guess what he's on annual leave! Aaaahh does that mean that no letters are being sent out until he comes back???? Im stressed now....

Well, I got my TLOD today for the RPM competition - woo hoo! :p I got a grade three though, so am relatively chuffed with myself. It wasn't like it was all a wasted effort either, because going through the application process has helped me to really focus on what I want to do for my MA dissertation, so I know I'm going to be better prepared in that respect come September. It was never that important for me to actually get the funding, as I've managed to save up enough money over the two years I had out from my undergrad - I'm glad in a way that the money's probably gone to someone who needs it more than me. Thanks Chrisrolinsky, did think that this would be the case but you can never be ceratin with the AHRC. Keep imagining one person sitting in a tiny room having to send out all our letters with an allowance of only two 2nd class stamps a day!!! I'm hoping I will get mine by Christmas, think think might be too ambitious though.

I thought today was the day.... it wasn't. Nothing again.

My boyfriend got an acceptance (but it was a thin letter of justice) from the AHRC today. He applied for English (theory)

Still nothing for me. How many of us are still waiting?

Phoned the AHRC, my letter was generated last week.... any day now then! Very, very scared now, but like the rest of you guys who are still waiting I just want to know now whatever the outcome.

Oh by the way, I was also told all the letters are nearly done. So news is on its way for us all. The disparity between the date on the letter and when it is received is explained by the checking process (sounds exciting!!!) in between. This is taking about a week from what I can gather.

I'm glad they're checking as my latest paranoia is that they accidentally sent me out the wrong letter ;)
