Well nothing overly positive I'm afraid. Reading this forum will tell you the funding for UK stundents is very thin on the ground. For foreign stundents that's considerably more so. You'll probabaly come to realise that getting 'on' the PhD was the easy bit. Getting the funding is the hard bit. Arguably, the best sources of funding will come from within your own country. Oh I agree re FE. A lot of what's wrong with education can be found in FE. That said if you want to teach, and aren't overly keen on research it is an option [a pretty crap one but an option].

Not entirely sure how you would go about doing that, in a positive way. I am aware that one of the criteria that my Sup looks for in a potential PhD stundent is the ability to achieve an effective work/personal life balance. Maybe you are best not mentioning it fullstop.

Following the site funding links can be useful, but overall its mostly a case of doing the hard work via Google. That said, if you're a foreign national, you're actual chances of finding funding are very slim indeed.

Probably not no. This is a Postgrad site and its mostly UK based.

Do you have an marketing industry background? It's a subject area that you'll be expected to have some 1st hand industry experience in [eg. working in an agency etc..].

Its a constitution thing related to us Brits I believe. Perhaps they could leave that in the constitution [right to bear arms], but make the ammo a bugger to obtain.
