A review article is like a literature review i.e. it pulls together the published research evidence on a particular topic. Not so sure that it's that easy to get one published though, they tend to be requested by journal editors to specific authors, rather than being published after spontaneous submission. Why not discuss your ideas with one of your tutors?

I tried applying for a volunteer post in a parasitolog laboratory and was declined due to insurance and security concerns.

On average you'll receive one offer for every 5 applications. If everything is hanging on a positive reply from a single application, especially this late (mid-August), the outlook looks bleak.

Is M.Sci enough?

Many thanks indeed - thought that would be the case, but it is often unclear.

thesis - scared

This sounds like differentiation to me. I found that it wasn't so scary - I wrote ~9000 words in one month for my differentiation report, but this won't be part of my final thesis... I also had to do a short interview with my supervisor and one other member of staff. I had very few results by this stage, but the issue seemed to be more like 'with two more years work, will this work be enough to form a PhD thesis'. I don't think very many people fail differentiation.

Have you tried e-mailing them to check the progress of your application. Sometimes a gentle nudge is all it takes.

Hello all

I would like to know if it is possible to do a PhD after finishing a BA Hons (without any master), i.e. if the BA Hons gives direct access to PhD programmes. Thank you very much.
