Yeah it's when they grow up they become a pain. I have a 6 year old one who's a bit of a brute. Smart, but brutish. The other is only 2 and so sweet !

I'm an ex-Bath chick (brought up there, not a student). Anyway, in desk terms, I'm still at work (saving up lots of cash to pay huge PhD fees) so have massive piles of paper and folders everywhere...oh and a hole punch

Pile of papers, my thesis, the desk top PC, my laptop, various lab catalogues, hand cream, a variety of photos stuck to wall (my laptop wallpaper has the nephew's pic), pens, calculator, paracetamol and my coffee mug (currently empty, bah!).

I was in Bath for my masters. Hence the figure. I have nowhere at home to put it and lots of desk space, hence the novelties will all start migrating here.

I'm with Ann - ask a fellow student (or even a friendly lecturer) to go over it. Do you have a second supervisor who can help?

I am sat in the office at my desk and have an array of things all over. So I thought, why not see what eveyrone else has too !

So I have: computer, pens, notebooks, picture of my nephews, two postcards, a plaster figure of the Roman baths at Bath and a 'mood swing' - one side says 'happy happy', the other 'sod off'.

I normally get Green and Blacks, that's quite high cocoa content. I have the white one, the mint one that has fondanty centre and the spiced orange one (which my friend says tastes of christmas!).

Yes, definitely never too old, go for it ! You may need to read up on the current 'status quo' of research, but I imagine you've probably already done that if you're thinking of doing one now. Let us know how it goes !
